Let's itemize the rhetorical strategies used here.
1—"the MINORITY of Doctors wear masks."
yourlogicalfallacyis.com/bandwagon x.com/richardhirschs…
2—"Humans have survived millions of years without prolonged masking. Our immune systems have evolved, adapted, and become stronger."
yourlogicalfallacyis.com/appeal-to-natu…
3—"And finally, if I am wrong, does anyone think we can hide from a ubiquitous aerosolised virus with a surgical mask for long? Do we think continued social distancing, lockdowns, isolation, and masking school kids is the way to go?"
yourlogicalfallacyis.com/strawman
4—"Do we think continued social distancing, lockdowns, isolation, and masking school kids is the way to go? There is so much collateral damage with that kind of policy."
yourlogicalfallacyis.com/black-or-white
5—"I continue to believe that covid will not be an extinction level event."
More strawman & red herrings.
6—"Why is it not public policy for everyone to mask up in public if it is of significant personal/public benefit (like seatbelts)? Why is it not hospital policy for same?"

Appeal to authority.

If you've been in circumstances where a PAPR was just the PPE you needed, but cost was prohibitive, here's your moment:
$151.67 (Reg : $1,056.33) Bullard

and
$136.57 (Reg : $1,086.61) Honeywell
fishersci.com/shop/products/…
fishersci.com/shop/products/…
The "Assigned Protection Factors" of each are a function of the facepiece:
Bullard—1000, hood
Honeywell—25, loose fitting facepiece
I'm unfamiliar with APRs. This page shows half-masks as 10, full-facepieces as 100.
Can anyone clarify?

It appears that the Honeywell has been discontinued.
Here is its archived link that no longer is on Honeywell:

KP.2—1.2x, KP.3—10x, KP.1.1-1.7x, LB.1, KW.1.1—3x
from 4/20 to 5/18
No data on the past month—but KP.3 & LB.1 showed the fastest recent growth

No, this is not 2020, not 2021. This is now.
—closure not just due to illness, but due to COVID hospitalizations.

"All indoor programs at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park have been called off due to an increase in COVID hospitalizations"

CDC shows this spike in Hawai`i hospitalizations.

But it's not matched by increased positivity in ER visits.
HI DOH will release its data tomorrow so we should get some clarification. covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tra…

Appalling gaslighting by PBS News Hour tonight.

First, look at the SARS2 levels in San Jose wastewater.
At what date did the pandemic end and the post-pandemic period begin?
Hard to pick a date, given levels now are higher than the Delta wave peak & half-way up BA.1's peak. 1/ Image
Now to PBS:
"Travel writer Rick Steves shares advice on navigating post-pandemic travel".

He's not referring to the future—he means now. 2/
pbs.org/newshour/show/…
Host @johnyangtv speaks of the pandemic in the past:

"Were there any differences pre-pandemic and post-pandemic?"

"During the pandemic there was a lot of that sort of tunnel vision..."
