Even at this early time in Cloud's life we can see his heroic qualities.

If you really want to 'believe' it could be a sign that Aerith is going to have a kid with a certain person in part 3.

In the end Fluffy does get renamed Blanca. Might be a nod to how Aerith's old name was Aeris, but thats a reach.
