Remember Rape Spring? Well it was more of a civil war than the military police, the military prosecutor, the army, or Israeli media or politicians let on. I’ll update when the translation is published, but in the meantime here’s the short of it👇🧵

Turns out that the videos that were published by the Rape Revolters were conveniently edited to leave out the parts where they assaulted military police, and in masks & full military gear threatened to kill them while aiming their weapons unless they release their rapey comrades.
The Rape Revolutionaries of Unit 100 beat the military police so badly that some of them withdrew their testimonies which were given “in tears”, others are afraid to testify at all, and others quit doing fieldwork “because it was so traumatic”.
But it’s not just the direct physical violence of the day. Some officers quit their job following their names being published online, and the military police is refraining from investigating the incident against its men “because of public pressures from right wing elements.”
An anonymous military person interviewed by Haaretz said “I don’t want to imagine what would’ve happened to the interrogators if they were in Sde Teiman during the raid, they would have lynched them.” He also complains that the military police & prosecutor aren’t doing their job.
Which puts this interview, with one of the main instigators in the published videos of this incident (who- despite accruing celebrity status since the coup- Haaretz fails to mention), about the following interrogations, in a slightly different light.
All of the above was done with the direct supervision and explicit order of the unit commander on the scene. And of course, channel 14 was an active part of this coup, airing the edited videos in real time. No investigation about their participation is mentioned in the article.
The article also doesn’t mention investigation into any direct connection to Israel minister of national security Itamar Ben-Gvir (the guy in charge of the civil police), despite the fact that the above main instigator, Meir Ben-Shitrit, is on camera demanding that he be called.
And no commentary on a Haaretz article would be complete without mentioning how it slyly toes the party line. Despite the man being identified as a police officer, Haaretz insists on labeling him “a Hamas operative”.
Finally, I’d like to point out that, in fact, this military coup was extremely successful. The military police- rather than its usual unwillingness- is UNABLE to carry out its duties and neither is the military prosecutor, as Israel’s army commits genocide.

The channel that loves Netanyahu even more than it loves genocide reports an "expert opinion" on the Sde Teiman rape by the guy who's already drafted questionable bills of health for the PM himself (): "Self-insertion."

Let's recall that the doctor at the scene, Yoel Donchin, already confirmed that his and the medical team's opinion at the time was that the injuries were "manmade" caused by "violence." At no point does he or the interviewer deny they're discussing rape.
In the meantime, in Israel's only forensic institute, Abu Kabir- most famous for organ snatching ()- and its administrator, Chen Kugel- most famous for incitement to genocide ()- are cooking up another theory.

Following the rape riots, a news segment for the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, called- I kid you not- 'This is Sodom', featured both Sde Teiman star doctors: Dr. Weeping Torture Launderer, Yoel Donchin, and Mr. Eichmann, Yechiel Barilan. I bring you the highlights👇🧵
After Dr. Donchin pretends to be mysterious, he admits that the reason he felt the severe injuries must be reported was because he assumed that somehow the zip-tied hostages, who get a beating for a mere slouch in their stress positions, did it to each other.
One might wonder what the doctor saw that made him go into ultra-denial mode (as opposed to his autopilot denial mode), considering the next thing he'll tell us is that he sends a Palestinian hostage to public hospitals for specialized treatment "at least once or twice a week."

This is a very bizarre thread and ya’ll need to stop behaving like it's legitimate to invite Hitler into your office at peak Holocaust and shake his hand “coldly”.

I read this @nytimes article so you don’t have too👇🧵

The first observation to make is about this rather bland title, burying the lead: Israel’s torture, sexual violence, and rape, which it committs systematically in the Sde Teiman concentration camp. archive.is/GQG3F

Inside the Base Where Israel Has Detained Thousands of Gazans Since Israel invaded Gaza, the Sde Teiman military base has filled with blindfolded, handcuffed detainees, held without charge or legal representation.
The 3400 words that @AdalahNY is referring to are often spent making excuses for why these abducted civilians had to be stripped, beaten, and tortured. It’s done so many times throughout the text that I’ll only include a few examples.
Fadi, you see, could have been KHamaaas.
Fadi Bakr, a law student from Gaza City, said he was captured on Jan. 5 by Israeli soldiers near his family home. Displaced by fighting earlier in the war, Mr. Bakr, 25, had returned to his neighborhood to search for flour, only to get caught in the middle of a firefight and wounded, he said. The Israelis found him bleeding after the fighting stopped, he said. They stripped him naked, confiscated his phone and savings, beat him repeatedly and accused him of being a militant who had survived the battle, he said.
The circumstances of Mr. Bakr’s arrest mirror those of other former detainees interviewed by The Times. Several said they had been suspected of militant activity because soldiers had encountered them in areas the military thought were harboring Hamas fighters, including hospitals, U.N. schools or depopulated neighborhoods like Mr. Bakr’s.
While ambulance driver, Muhammad Al-Kurdi, could have also been KHamaaas. And really complete strip searches in public, leaving you naked while beating you, and then cramming you naked with other victims into a small space, is necessary to confirm that you’re unarmed.
“I was imprisoned for 32 days,” said Mr. al-Kurdi. He said he had been captured in November after his convoy of ambulances attempted to pass through an Israeli military checkpoint south of Gaza City
Mr. al-Kurdi, the ambulance driver, said he had been captured while he attempted to bring patients through an Israeli checkpoint. Israeli officials say that Hamas fighters routinely use ambulances. All of the eight former detainees described their capture in similar ways: They were generally blindfolded, handcuffed with zip ties and stripped naked except for their underwear, so that Israeli soldiers could be sure they were unarmed. Most said they were interrogated, punched and kicked while still in Gaza, and some said they were beaten with rifle butts. Later, they said, they were crammed w...
