SitRep - 23/10/24 - Russia entered Selydove

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In the Pokrovsk direction, heavy fighting is reported near Selydove, where Russians managed to enter and occupy parts of the center.

Overnight, a total of 72 Shahed drones were taken out.
A Russian supply vehicle ran into a mine.
The 46th Brigade yet again repelled a mechanized attack, destroying several pieces of Russian heavy equipment.

Lets continue with the general events. New EU funds funded through income from frozen Russian assets are expected to be provided to Ukraine soon.
The UK announced more aid to the Maritime Coalition for Ukraine.
In addition to previous news items stating the same, another US official clarified that the US not yet ready to invite Ukraine to NATO.
Recently pledged IMF money has already been transferred to Ukraine.
Early 2025, France will already supply Ukraine with 3 Mirage 2000-5's equipped to launch SCALP-EG and AASM HAMMER bombs.
The US finally confirmed, after evidence appeared literally everywhere which could not be denied anymore, that North Korean troops indeed arrived in Russia.
Today South Korean intelligence shared that North Korea has already sent 3000 soldiers to Russia, aiming to provide a total of 10.000 by december.
Guterres didn't want to come to the Ukraine Peace Summit, but now happily joined the BRICS summit on invitation by Putin.
Ukraine may lose $4 billion in aid due to delayed corruption reforms.
More voices are emerging within Ukraine calling for a faster mobilization of more personnel to halt the Russian current advance and prepare for new offensives of their own.

The situation in Selydove was worsened for Ukrainian troops. With a high possibility that the extent of Russia's advance is deeper than marked on this map. Only this needs further confirmation.
Near Kurakhivka/Kurakhove, Russians advanced into Hyrnik and took control over the adjacent hamlet of Izmailivka, according to geolocated footage. The fight will now focus on Kurakhivka, with fights already happening in the northern parts of the settlement. Image
