🧵A thread of Intuit Dome nuggets from a private tour given to @FOS on Wednesday, a day before the first Clippers regular-season game.

Fans can buy tickets to a private dining area where they can see the players run onto the court.

Anyone entering center court will be greeted by the halo screen from above.

The view from the nosebleeds, which the Clippers say is 55 feet closer than at Crypto. com Arena.

Having attended last night's Lakers game, I can say the difference was somewhat noticeable.

The Intuit Dome has a capacity of just under 18,000 fans, while Crypto. com fits about 19,000.

A look at the seats, which come with LED armrests, USB-C charging outlets, and video game-style buttons.

The buttons can be used for trivia games and fan activities on the halo board.

Intuit Dome spokesperson recognized tech malfunctions may happen and are part of the process.

The Intuit Dome app is integral in making any purchases. Fans can enter the team store or any concessions area using facial recognition, and will me charged using the payment method chosen on the app once they exit the buying area.

Intuit Dome has t-shirt launchers than can hit every seat in the arena. Here's a look at one of them—installed on a massive catwalk over the halo board.

As someone mildly afraid of heights, this view was quite an experience.

There was an attention to detail about the arena, even to opposing teams locker rooms. Opponents have their own gym, recovery area, and X-ray and MRI rooms.

Unseen: even referees get a cozy space at the Intuit Dome, which comes with a conference room and family area.

The plaza outside the arena features a full-sized, public basketball court. It also has several art works the team reportedly spent more than $10 million on.

There's a screen in the main hallway that greets fans by name—but others around you will see their own name.

Cool or creepy? IMO: cool. But I can see the argument on both sides.

Overall, the Intuit Dome is a fan and consumer-focused arena taking a massive swing on tech advancements. It's clear the staff is excited, but also nervous, knowing the execution may not be perfect on Day 1.

Leave it to the former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer to take the risk.
