Now, we have the 2024 version of the chameleonic Trump. He is making some noises about terminating the war against Russia. "Hooray!"
Well, perhaps. But let's dig a little deeper into the historic record, and into the current words and deeds of this individual.
He persecuted Julian Assange for four years. Julian Assange was not free for a single day during Trump's first term, and Trump could have fixed that with a phone call.
Trump still boasts about the fact he bombed, invaded, and pillaged Syria. Says "all that beautiful oil is ours". The occupation of Syria continues, as does the theft of oil and wheat as Syrians starve.
He murdered in cold blood anti-ISIS General Qasem Suleimani. He boasts about it.
He loudly cheers the ongoing genocide of Palestine. It would be difficult to find an American more dedicated to wiping off the map the indigenous population of Palestine.
Cheered the fascist overthrow of Bolivia, as did the lithium-hungry Elon Musk.
Tried to violently overthrow Venezuela and Nicaragua. Brayed about his intention to rip off Venezuela's oil.
Green-lit the imprisonment of Lula on false charges, throwing the 2018 Brazilian election for his fascist buddy, Jair Bolsonaro. He is as complicit in the overthrow of Brazil as Obama and Biden were in 2016.
Continued Obama's genocide in Yemen.
Appointed his Chabad-Lubovitz son-in-law to cut deals between totalitarian Arab regimes and Israel.
Pardoned notorious Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard, responsible for the deaths of so many American intelligence assets.
