Jury member Jüri Pootsmann, who listened through all 175 songs, joined Grete in the studio to announce the finalists and give a brief comment on them
There may have been a few he liked that didn't get in, but he recognises most of the songs that are in and he's happy with them
1⃣ Räpina Jack feat. Kaisa Ling "Tule"
Authors: Kill Kaare, Kaisa Ling
The song has western-like sound, a bit of country, pretty and meaningful lyrics and Eesti Laul fans will like it
2⃣ Tuuli Rand "Rem"
Authors: Tuuli Rand, Cecilia Martina Mägi, Sander Sadam
Tuuli is a very powerful singer, it needs a lot of talent to perform live. Very powerful chorus, very sexy song, full of soul
Ringvaade went to surprise the third finalist. Look at all of the talented people you can see in ERR cafeteria!
Maiken, Dagmar Oja, Ott Lepland... Oh hey isn't that Ant?
After a few compliments for the haircut he did on Marko a few weeks ago, it's time to reveal he's also in!
3⃣ ANT "Tomorrow Never Comes"
Authors: Ant Nurhan, Kim Wennerström, Merili Käsper
It's a ballad with touch of the greats eating with him. It's a big stage show and as it goes on it develops so big that you'll get shivers, and Jüri's sure Ant can deliver on it
4⃣ FELIN "Solo Anthem"
Authors: Paul Rey, Gevin Niglas, Johanna Ekholm, Elin Blom Etoall
Finnish-Swedish artist, Jüri compares the song to Olivia Rodrigo's music, a good pop song
5⃣ Anna Sahlene "Love Me Low"
Authors: David Lindgren Zahcarias, Bobby Ljunggren, Michaela Stridbeck, Anna Sahlin, Dagmar Oja, Kaire Vilgats
Look at the list of authors, therefore a good song. A good example of europop, would work well for Eurofans
6⃣ Stereo Terror "Prty Till the End of the World"
Authors: Lauri Hämäläinen, Heigo Anto
A little something for the fans of heavier music, Finnish-Estonian group, will wake you up, something for fans of Rock
One more video surprise as Heleri ambushes An-Marlen lending a corset from Estonia for a photoshoot
An-Marlen calls songwriter Frederik Mustonen to announce the news, as he's gathering inspiration in Germany
7⃣ An-Marlen "Külm"
Authors: Frederik Mustonen, Ingel Marlen Mikk, Maria Vainumägi
While Jüri didn't comment on the song, An-Marlen's mom confirms it's a good song and she has experience
8⃣ ELYSA "The Last to Know"
Authors: Simon Peyron, Angelino Markenhorn, Julie Aagaard, Elisa Kolk
Last one for the night, a song made by Scandinavians so ideal song for Eurovision and Eesti Laul stage. It's a good pop song, wondeful vocals and powerful. Deserves the spot
Last Grete asks Jüri if he felt as a jury member like he should have submitted something _better_
He didn't, but who knows if he'll submit something next year
Next 7 will be revealed on tomorrow's Ringvaade, and the finals will happen at Unibet Arena (ex Saku Suurhall)

🧵 Comments by jury member An-Marlen & host Korea (in ~15 mins)
Today's guest commentators are An-Marlen and Korea
Listening to this year's songs as a jury member An-Marlen kinda felt like looking back she should have enjoyed Eesti Laul time more
For Korea hosting is always scary since you think for months about how nothing must go wrong
7⃣ Getter Jaani "The Game"
Marko: Getter has Eurovision experience, we were at Düsseldorf
An-Marlen: Oddly I didn't recognise the voice as Getter's, used to hear her in Estonian recently, that much more I'm glad she's back - she's great on the stage
🧵 Comments by pre-jury member Ines & host Karl-Erik Taukar (in ~15 mins)
Today's Ringvaade reveal features Ines who handed over Eesti Laul hosting duty to Karl-Erik Taukar as she gives birth to a second child
Turns out Taukar had tried to participate but even though the song "Vastupandamatu" became a hit... Guess only good enough to host
As always Ringvaade Artist Hunters are on the move to surprise the artists, and this time Heleri got Karl Killing to get Noep
Noep has previously taken part with Tenfold Rabbit and Meelik, but this time the song is very personal, about being supportive to someone else and hope
Eurovision YouTuber Epix Eurovision Guy and musician & songwriter Egert Milder visited ETV's Morning show Terevisioon to talk about 5Miinust & Puuluup's song and the songs already selected for Eurovision
🧵For Summary
For Epix, the result was pretty certain once it was clear the juries rated them highly
For Egert the show was a bit mild in semifinal, maybe because of the smaller stage, but the adaptions for finals were wonderful and made it the right choice
A common topic is 5Miinust wearing sunglasses while performing. Egert says it's just the cool thing right now. Being anonymous and stuff
5Miinust's [Estoni] Kohver went on Raadio 2's morning show to talk about Eesti Laul and the future at Eurovision

5M&P went to Saturday with only 2 acceptable scenarios - winning it or getting the 4th place
Magnus Müürsep, who handled them, warned that if they lose, all the cameras would be on them. Kohver doesn't know how to lose [tells the story of how he broke a keyboard playing NFS:U2]
In regards to the lyrics and EBU rules regarding brands (so we don't end up with Azerbaijan sending "Mc'Donalds is the best"), there's the issue of Lay's, which they wrote before asking them for money (and they did give something afterwards)
Youtuber Epix Eurovision Guy appeared on today's morning show Terevisioon to talk about the Eesti Laul semifinal, both as an eurovision fan and as a jury member
🧵 for tl;dr, he usually uploads interviews to his youtube channel after a week
About the 5 Q songs: Not quite his top 5 and as much as he talked to other jury members, none of them were really satisfied with the final choice
Peter Põder was a surprise Q, intl fans liked Cecilia but her vocals and she's not as known in Estonia, Traffic also a surprise NQ
About 5Miinust & Puuluup: It definitely is a hit for the people, their combination has come as a surprise and that they put together a song like this - not a lot of rap/hiphop. Estonian also works really well
Host Reimo points out the song is similar to Estonian band "Öökülm"
