🧵It’s Election Day, and I wanted to share my observances in Philadelphia as a “retired” GOP operative now working in public affairs. First, I want to talk about what I’ve seen in my own neighborhood.
My house was knocked by the Harris campaign or PA Dems SEVEN times in the last ten days. We've been hit DAILY since Friday, 11/1. Our neighbors a few doors down are Asian American and the Harris literature left at their door was AAPI specific and multilingual.
I live in a South Philly precinct that Biden carried with just 57% in 2020, so I’d suspect there would be evidence of substantial Republican campaign activity. However, I have not seen evidence of the Trump campaign, Musk PAC, or PA GOP canvassing my block. Only McCormick camp.
My wife, a passionate Harris supporter, volunteered to canvas for Harris on Sunday, and I decided to join her. This ONE (many across the city) office was unlike anything I’ve ever seen or could have imagined. Jam packed with maybe 100 volunteers for the noon shift.
All volunteers got their materials / instructions, were adequately trained, assigned “turf,” and set loose within 30 minutes. It was evident to me that they have more volunteers than they need to hit every Dem in the city.
If my own experience of having our door knocked 7 times wasn’t enough, the stacks of lit at people’s doors while we were knocking made it very clear. The Harris GOTV operation is incredible. 
Much of this is anecdotal, but I don't think it can be dismissed either. If Harris wins PA, I think it's because of the Philly turnout operation.
