Here are some observations to consider for the @DNC and Dem voters who may now be inclined to blame everyone who refused to vote for Harris. Maybe NOW you’ll pay attention (or, sadly, not). Thread >>
1. Millions of Americans TOLD YOU that genocide was a red line and they weren’t going to reward a candidate or party engaging in genocide, no matter how much money AIPAC gives you or how you try to spin it (looking at you, @BernieSanders and @MarkRuffalo).
2. Millions of Americans TOLD YOU they weren’t voting for a candidate or party that was complicit in Biden sweeping COVID under the rug and completing the destruction of public health that Trump began.
3. Millions of Americans TOLD YOU they weren’t going to vote for a candidate championing Trumpists like Liz Cheney, war criminals like her father, or other Republican swamp monsters flocking to Harris’s loving embrace. We don’t WANT a “strong” GOP - it needs to be buried.
4. Millions of Americans TOLD YOU that ridiculing, shaming, barring from events, or otherwise dropping the hammer on the people raising alarms about these issues was going to cost you votes.
5. Millions of Americans TOLD YOU they wanted a candidate who, as a current or future PUBLIC SERVANT, would sincerely listen to their concerns, rather than hold up a hand and say, “I’M SPEAKING.”
I could go on, but hopefully you get my drift. My main point is that MILLIONS OF AMERICANS TOLD YOU, explicitly and often, and YOU IGNORED THEM.
Also, you’ve repeatedly vilified left/third parties and voters while chasing after Republican votes that YOU WILL NEVER GET. You should’ve learned that in 2016, and you just repeated that losing playbook, expecting to win solely on “But Trump” and celebrity endorsements.
The ONLY way you’ll win elections in future is to abandon that idiotic strategy and make a radical (and sincere) shift to the left to embrace left, independent, and draw some non-voters into the electoral process with good policies for PEOPLE, not the donors.
Some say America got what it deserved last night. I don’t agree, because there are many who have no agency who are stuck with the consequences of the DNC’s stupidity. But this is NOT on people who didn’t vote for Harris; it’s on the DNC & people who refused to listen. //

While I was sifting through various reports on the genocide in Gaza while pursuing some vague ideas for a story, I was overwhelmed by the stark realization that Israel and the U.S. are going to get away with murdering 2 million innocent people in broad daylight. 🧵>>
Looking through just a tithe of information from over the last year left me feeling distraught. Over thirty years of intelligence analysis, I reported on a lot of things, some of which were heart-wrenching. But I used to think we Americans were the good guys. We're not.
The Democrats, who fashion themselves the saviors of democracy, decry what Trump might theoretically do if he's elected while ignoring or actively defending the full complicity of the Biden administration and Harris's declaration of iron-clad support for Israel.
Let’s talk about the recently changed Department of Defense Directive 5240.01, which provides top-level guidance for DOD’s intelligence gathering activities. I started out as an Army intel officer and spent ~30 years as a DOD intel guy, so that’s where I’m coming from.🧵>>
Summary: should you, as a citizen, be concerned about the changes in the new 5240.01?
YES, you absolutely should, but not for the reasons most people seem to think. Some folks believe 5240.01 now gives the military sweeping powers to use lethal force against Americans…
…while others think it’s nothing to worry about. Both are wrong. So let’s step through what I think are the critical bits in plain language for those who aren’t used to all the bureaucratic-speak found in almost all government documentation.
As a follow-up to my tips for air travel [below], here are some for "on the road" when you have to stay at hotels, BnBs, etc. None of this should be new, so mostly just a refresher.🧵>>>
First off, just to reiterate what I said in the previous thread, the most important thing is to have a defensive mindset focused on cleaning the air you breathe. That must ALWAYS be at the forefront of your mind when you travel.
Second, a disclaimer: almost 99% of the extensive travel (30+ states) my wife and I have done over the last year was in our car+camper. I know this doesn't work for everyone, but if you have this option, it's THE safest way to go IMHO.
Someone asked me to put together some thoughts on minimizing COVID infection risk while traveling, so here you go! Many others have posted great tips in the past, so a lot of this is likely stating the obvious.
This thread is on air travel. 🧵>>>
First and foremost, you have to have a defensive mindset and focus on what you need to do to clean the air you breathe. I know that sounds obvious, but IMHO that's the most important thing because it drives every action you take to protect yourself.
Air travel: My first recommendation is to not travel by air unless it's unavoidable. My second is to go, if possible, during non-peak periods. I would absolutely NOT travel during any major holidays unless it was an emergency.
Folks, I'm sorry to be a downer here, but all of the posts I've seen from folks hoping Walz will somehow be able to influence Harris to bring back mask mandates, make CDC do its job, end the genocide in Gaza, etc., are...🧵
...- again, I'm sorry - nothing but hopium. Walz was chosen for the same reason Harris (and most previous VPs) was: to put someone in who appeals to a voting block the person at the top of the ticket might not be swaying.
But the bitter truth is that the VP literally has ZERO power unless the President is incapacitated or dies. They can offer advice to POTUS, but that advice can be easily ignored; beyond that, the VP's responsibilities under the Constitution are few.
Okay, I’m going to go out on a limb and post something on 222 nm far-UVC, mainly because I’ve seen more folks wondering about it and I’ve seen a LOT of tweets lately showing people using some of this tech in really ineffective ways. 🧵
Just so you know…
…that I’m not just some rando blowing stuff out my tailpipe at you, I’ve done a ton of research, talked to some of the manufacturers, and have invested heavily in far-UVC, including a Sterilray Sabre, a My Lumens UVPro222-B1, and two ERGO X-Ones.
I’ve used these devices, the Sabre, in particular, in numerous personal and business venues, from dental appointments to a week-long class in a room big enough to seat 80 people, and in a few venues where at least one person was definitely sick…
