I suspect that what happened to Harris on Tuesday was a repeat of what happened to Val Demings in Florida two years ago.

Because of the racial disparity between the leadership of the Democratic Party and its footsoldiers out in the field, I don't think that a lot of people yet realize outside of the Black community that we have reached the end of its white men's cultural competence.

What unites tweet #1 & #2 is the fact that the white men who run the party do not have the cultural competence to understand that the messaging to build & maintain a Democratic Party coalition is going to have to change, as well as fight on different media fronts.

Florida's Bill Nelson lost for one of the same reasons that Demings lost, and I suspect one of the reasons why Harris lost, was that the GOP is unchallenged in Spanish-language media on messaging to various Latino groups. White men in charge of Democrats don't understand this.

if the Democratic Party is going to move forward, three major changes will have to happen:

~first, the white male leadership of the party needs to be overthrown & replaced by a coalition of various shades of people of color, and of women~

~second, the party must recognize the need to have a presence in all forms of Spanish-language media on a constant comment everyday general basis

~third, white DSA socialists must be brought to heel and their voices viciously suppressed. New immigrants hate Bernie Sanders.

and I cannot emphasize this third point more, that one of the reasons why the newer Latino immigrant populations hate socialism or any sort of redistributive political ideology is because this latest wave is here because people like Bernie Sanders were in charge down there
