A Dutch journalist is demanding an apology and removal of her footage, used by @BILD, @CNN, @BBCWorld, @Guardian, and @nytimes in their reporting on the post-match clash between Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters and Amsterdam locals. She accuses them of misusing her footage and insists the truth be stated: “Maccabi supporters attacked Amsterdam citizens in front of Central Station after the game.”
“Journalism is about finding truth. It’s time to show some respect to reality. That’s your job,” she adds.
The footage in question, which various media outlets, including CNN, BBC World, and The New York Times, misrepresented as showing pro-Palestinians chasing Israelis, actually shows Israeli supporters, as confirmed by the person who filmed it.
Additional footage shows that it was actually Israeli supporters chasing and attacking locals here, further disproving the initial misrepresentation.

After chanting racist anti-Arab slogans, tearing down Palestinian flags, and disrespecting a minute of silence for the Spanish flood victims, Israeli fans were attacked by pro-Palestinian locals in Amsterdam on Thursday.
Western media widely condemned the incident as an “antisemitic attack” on innocent Israelis. Amsterdam Councilman Jazie Veldhuyzen shares a different story: Maccabi fans “began attacking houses of people in Amsterdam with Palestinian flags, so that’s actually where the violence started.” In response, locals mobilized to defend their homes.
Veldhuyzen also criticized the Amsterdam police, pointing to a video showing officers driving by as Israeli fans tore down Palestinian flags. “The mayor says the police did act, but I would say they acted at the wrong moments… They only intervened to protect the Maccabi hooligans when Amsterdammers stood up to defend their homes. The police appeared only when the Maccabi fans fled after attacking people.”
Middle East Eye reports clashes broke out between Israeli fans and local youth, continuing late into the night. An Arab taxi driver was also reportedly attacked by a mob of Israeli fans. Footage shared on social media showed violent confrontations, with police intervening in some instances.
A Dutch police spokesperson confirmed that five people were hospitalized and 62 arrests were made as a result of the clashes. Israeli authorities called the violence a “pogrom,” and Prime Minister Netanyahu announced he was immediately launching a “rescue mission” to bring the Israelis home.
“This does not excuse the violence that was meted out to Maccabi Tel Aviv fans,” said the founder of the rights group Fair Square to MEE. “But to present them as innocent victims of antisemitism is a gross misrepresentation of the facts.”
Geert Wilders, the anti-Muslim and pro-Israel leader of the largest party in the Dutch government, called the riots a “pogrom” and a “Jewish hunt.”
🚨 Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, reports ongoing bombings near the facility throughout the night, which have “broken almost all the doors and shattered most of the windows.” Crucially, Israeli forces are maintaining a siege of the hospital, blocking entry for specialized medical staff and ambulances, deliberately escalating the crisis. With all 120 remaining patients requiring urgent surgery, international pressure is desperately needed to support healthcare in northern Gaza.

📌 Full message from Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital:
“Throughout the night, there have been continuous bombardments and bombings of buildings in the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital and the Al Yemen Al Saeed area.
The explosions have caused significant damage, even affecting Kamal Adwan Hospital itself.
Almost all of the doors have been broken down, and most of the windows are shattered. This has instilled a sense of terror and fear among the patients at Kamal Adwan Hospital, and unfortunately, the situation is still ongoing.
We have not received any medical personnel, and upon following up on this matter, we were informed that the army has refused to allow any specialized medical staff to enter northern Gaza.
Furthermore, they have not permitted the entry of any ambulance vehicles. This indicates a deliberate escalation regarding the humanitarian situation, which remains dire.
We currently have 120 patients, almost all of whom require urgent surgeries. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any assistance, and we urgently need increased pressure on the international community to help the healthcare system perform its duties in accordance with established humanitarian laws.
We are not asking for anything beyond this. We are here to provide a humanitarian service to our people, the injured, and those in need of assistance, and we wish to continue doing our job.”

Director of Nursing, Dr. Eid Sabbah:
“It is important for delegations to reach the north, especially to Kamal Adwan Hospital. However, the most crucial factor is the entry of specialized medical and surgical staff to operate the hospital and save lives, not just to evacuate the injured. Unfortunately, for every injured person evacuated, ten enter the hospital.”
The administrators at Kamal Adwan Hospital are pleading that the medical delegation of nine doctors, who have already arrived in Gaza City, be allowed to enter the hospital. Their specialties are as follows:
🚨 ICYMI: This week, Drop Site published: “Project 2025 Creators Have a Plan to ‘Dismantle’ Pro-Palestine Movement” by Ryan Grim and Murtaza Hussain. If Trump wins next week, the Heritage Foundation has a roadmap to crush dissent. Here’s a quick look at the key points: 🧵
The architects of Project 2025 at the Heritage Foundation have drafted a plan called Project Esther, aimed at dismantling the pro-Palestinian movement in the U.S. The initiative seeks to label pro-Palestinian activists as part of a global conspiracy linked to designated terrorist organizations.
The plan claims that activists are part of an “HSO”, short for “Hamas Support Network,” alleging indispensable support from a vast network working to “undermine capitalism and democracy”. The framing serves to justify suppressing dissenting speech regarding U.S.-Israel policies.
🧵P.A. Seeks Israel’s UN Ouster, Prompting Cruz’s Retaliatory Threats
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas recently demanded the suspension of Israel’s UN membership until it fulfills its obligations and adheres to UN resolutions. Abbas intends to submit a resolution for this purpose. /1
Majed Bamya, Palestinian Deputy Permanent Observer at the UN, addressed the General Assembly today saying, “How can we explain Israel still sits among us here in these United Nations, while it uses its presence to attack the UN… And then we are accused of singling out Israel. Give me any other state which would dare to behave this way without feeling any consequences.” /2
Senator Ted Cruz, reacting to Palestinian demands, led a group of ten senators in threatening congressional retaliation if the UN General Assembly votes to suspend Israel’s membership. /3
⭕️ Where Things Stand After Israeli Strikes on Iran
Everything you need to know:
1. Four Iranian soldiers have been reported killed after a series of Israeli attacks across Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces on Saturday. The Iranian military claimed the attacks were successfully countered, with only “limited damage” reported at some locations.
(Image: Guardian)
2. The Israeli Air Force targeted about 20 military bases across Iran, including missile and drone manufacturing sites and air defense systems. Saturday’s strikes reportedly destroyed Iranian air defenses that were protecting oil, gas, and petrochemical facilities, as well as a major port. According to the New York Times, citing unnamed Iranian and Israeli officials, key targets included Gulf petrochemical facilities, a port at Bandar Imam Khomeini, the Abadan oil refinery, and a gas field in Ilam province called Tange Bijar
3. Rafael Grossi, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, confirmed that Iran’s nuclear facilities were not impacted by the strikes, nor were the oil infrastructure targets—both of which the Biden administration had urged Israel not to strike.

Summary translation of voice note from Dr Eid Sabbah at 3:53pm Gaza time, Oct. 26th:
🔹 Around 30 healthcare staff remain missing since their detention by Israeli forces. Their fate is unknown.
🔹 A correction to some misleading media reports:
•Claims that some healthcare staff arrested last night from Kamal Odwan were released to go to Sheikh Radwan are false.
•We have been in communication with Sheikh Radwan Clinic since this morning, and no staff members have arrived there.
