A decade has gone by since Taylor showed up on our doorstep,& I've no idea how 🥹. I say it each year & I mean it: I will NEVER know what we did to deserve this, but I DO know we will be immensely grateful for our whole lives. It's because of her music that Leyton is even here +
(pushed through fertility struggles, & that I still am here too, tbh) & today I look back & reflect on this person who he has become since; a 12-year-old I think she'd be proud of. He's indescribably empathetic, smart, & has a talent for music- just today he's found out that +
he got into his school's audition-only jazz band 🎶, so they're both tall AND musical lol. Life hasn't always been simple, & even now with my dad going through so much it's been a ride, but having her support along the way when I needed someone most & having such a grounded &+
helpful young man now made/makes it that much easier. I don't care how ridiculous it sounds:the influence of Taylor on our lives HAS been a factor in who he has become,&I'll always be grateful: for that day 10 years ago,for reuniting 3 years later at the reputation party in NYC,+
for barricade hugs & 22 hats for Leyton, for her music & everything else she's done along the way,& for this wonderful 2nd family in all of you. We love all of you so much,& thank you to those who have called Leyton your "nephew" along the way. It warms this mom's heart so much🥹
