Oligarchs and fascists like Elon Musk intent on destroying social programs.

6/ Trump's cabinet will lay the legal foundations for a presidential dictatorship, with fascistic figures like Matt Gaetz at the helm.

Sauer’s appointment, in particular, underscores the legal foundation for dictatorship.

7/ Trump's war cabinet is engineered to escalate US militarism, particularly against China, and to deepen support for Israel’s genocidal campaign against the Palestinians.

8/ Trump's cabinet, including figures like Stephen Miller and Thomas Homan, will seek to orchestrate a massive assault on immigrant workers by deploying the military on US soil.

9/ The assault on public health will be lead by the anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist RFK Jr and Jay Bhattacharya, a frontrunner for the NIH.

Both are proponents of unrestrained “herd immunity” policies in relation to COVID-19 and other pathogens.

10/ Trump and his advisers are moving rapidly to consolidate unlimited power in the hands of the White House, in line with the interests of the oligarchy.

More than 800 billionaires in the US now control a staggering $6.2 trillion in wealth.

11/ A social system characterized by such vast social inequality is incompatible with democratic forms of rule. The structures of political life are being brought into alignment with this social reality.

12/ This class realignment is not only evident in Trump’s actions, but also in the rapid acquiescence of the Democratic Party following the election.

13/ The Trump administration will face enormous opposition, but it will not come from the Democratic Party.
