China has developed a surgical cure for alzheimers
China successfully invented a surgery for curing Alzheimer’s disease. Known as LVA surgery, it is performned on neck lymphatics. So far, there have been 42 clinical trials, all have been successes.⬇️
-
LVA Surgery, otherewise known as deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis surgery was performed on a 76-year-old man with moderate Alzheimer's disease, his symptoms were significantly improved. The follow-up results two months after the operation showed that the old man not only had a significant recovery in memory, but also could communicate normally with others.
-
The theoretical basis of deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis is the abnormal accumulation of Aβ-amyloid protein and abnormal phosphorylation of tau protein in the brain, which are two important causes of Alzheimer's disease
-
The operation uses super microsurgery technology to shunt the lymphatic circulation in the meninges, accelerate the return of intracerebral lymph through the jugular foramen at the skull base, and take away more metabolic products in the brain, thereby achieving the goal of possibly reversing brain degenerative lesions and slowing the progression of the disease.
-
It can be simply understood as a mechanical excretion process. The abnormal accumulation of amyloid protein in the elderly's brain is like a clogged sewer, and the "waste" cannot be transported out in time. The deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis can greatly speed up the removal of "waste" and improve the removal efficiency.
-
On the morning of November 11, Professor Tang Juyu, director of the Microsurgery Reconstruction Clinical Research Center of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, had just completed the 42nd deep cervical lymphatic-venous anastomosis in the hospital. Because it was a minimally invasive surgery, the patient could get out of bed and move around the next day.
-
Among these 42 patients, in addition to restoring their memories, Tang Juyu also saw that patients who were originally indifferent and taciturn could communicate with him in a cheerful and talkative manner during the follow-up visit after the operation.
-
Although many patients have significant symptom improvement after surgery, experts believe that this surgery can only provide a new idea for the current treatment of Alzheimer's disease, and its specific effectiveness still needs more research to confirm.

🧵CHINA’S TAICHI-II CHIP: WORLD’S FIRST FULLY OPTICAL AI PROCESSOR!
State owned Tsinghua university's Taichi-II outperforms the Nvidia H100 in energy efficiency, accuracy and data processing cementing China’s lead role in AI development, despite US chip sanctions
Key factors the Taichi-II has that make it cutting edge include a 40% accuracy boost, 6 orders of magnitude improvement in energy efficiency and reduced energy consumption
The Taichi-II uses optical computing rather than electronic computing, the former being much more efficient than the latter
🧵How state owned are China’s banks? Private & foreign banks only own 2% of China’s domestic banking assets!
The scale and scope of credit control by the CPC, shouldn't be underestimated, with the vast majority of banks operating under the Party's control
In terms of banking profits, 87% of profits generated by China's banks were funneled back into the “real economy”, a big portion in the form of dividends was distributed to state-owned entities, which acted as fiscal spending/investment in the real economy. Another to citizens via stock. Retained capital indirectly supports the real sector by leveraging credit and bond purchases to the real sector again.
The retail banking industry in China has some of the largest publicly listed banks in the world co-existing with hundreds of thousands of less-regulated rural co-operative institutions. The present Chinese banking industry is regulated by the “Big Four”: the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), People’s Bank of China (PBC), China Construction Bank (CCB), and Agricultural Bank of China (ABC). All four of the “Big Four” are state-owned lenders.
🧵HOW CHINA’S STATE LED SYSTEM LEADS IN NUCLEAR ENERGY WHILE THE REST OF THE WORLD STALLS
While the rest of the world stagnates, China thrives on nuclear. By 2030, China is expected to be the top producer of nuclear energy.⬇️
China also leads in Nuclear fusion & Gen IV nuclear fission. With countless innovative key projects run by state firms, demonstrating its lead over the rest of the world
The scale and speed of Beijing’s crusade is hard to overstate. China approved its first nuclear power station in 1981. BloombergNEF now expects the country to leapfrog France and the US by 2030. In an age when few new reactors are built at all, China has 30 under construction. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
China also prioritizes building several reactors of the same design, creating standardization, a ready supply chain and an army of trained workers. That avoids cost overruns and delays like the ones that plagued the Georgia plant. The key lies in the scale of the industry and the recent trend to focus on a small number of reactor type. It is difficult and expensive to supply and construct a reactor if the design is new and the construction program is small.
🧵CHINA WILL BUILD THE WORLD'S FIRST THORIUM MOLTEN SALT NUCLEAR POWER STATION IN 2025
Construction will begin in 2025, expecting to begin operations by 2029, with an output of 60 MW. From 2030, construction will begin on 100MW variants, and potentially thorium powered ships
Thorium reactors are much safer, produce less radioactive waste (of which has a shorter half life), don’t require water for cooling (as it uses liquid salt or Co2) and operate at a normal pressure, relative to Uranium reactors.
Thorium is also far more energy efficient, one ton of thorium can produce as much energy as 35 tons of uranium. With thermal efficiency of thorium reactors ranging between 48 - 59%, with uranium reactors ranging between 33 - 45%.
🧵CHINA FURTHERS STATE-LED NUCLEAR EXPANSION AND TECHNOLOGICAL BREAKTHROUGHS
The construction of 11 nuclear reactors was approved this month. Progress has also been made in the R&D of key technologies, particularly in automated uranium mining via state owned firms and universities
The State Council greenlit the new reactors in sites spread across Jiangsu, Shandong, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Guangxi. Most of which are going to be China’s domestic design with more than 90% localization, the Hualong-1, costing about 31 billion USD in total.
The Xuwei nuclear heat project will be fielding the pebble-bed nuclear reactor model, the groundbreaking technology that is entirely “melt down proof”. newscientist.com/article/244038…
