I've pulled together a list of what I think are the 10 most important AI skills you need to learn...

1. Prompt engineering

Clear prompts turn AI from a text generator into a thinking partner. If you can’t direct AI, you’ll always get shallow output.

What It Is:
The difference between average output and answers you can act on.

When To Use It:
Any time you need Al to think like a strategist or operator and not as a chatbot.

Tools:
ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity

2. AI Agents

Agents take a goal and finish the work end-to-end without active input from you.

What It Is:
Agents are an AI that completes tasks end-to-end without your input, rather than just reply/action your commands.

When To Use It:
Automating jobs you'd normally hand to an intern or burn your time: lead gen, research, scheduling, etc.

Tools:
OpenAI Agents, CrewAI, LangGraph, LangChain
