SitRep - 29/11/24 - Ukraine destroyed an S-400 position

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. An S-400 air defense position in occupied Crimea was struck and Zelensky wants Ukrainian-held territory to become part of NATO.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours.
Ukraine also repelled a big Russian drone attack overnight.
Overnight, Ukraine attacked the Atlas depot in the Rostov region and put 3 oil tanks up in flames.
Early morning, the tanks were still burning.
The 8th SSO captured Russians in the Kursk region.
Also, Ukrainian drones targeted other military sites in Tuapse, Russia.
An expensive Zoopark counter battery radar was found and destroyed.
The General Staff confirmed the strike on the Atlas depot, but also reported that a radar for the BUK-M3 air defense system was destroyed.

Ukraine struck occupied Crimea, and has likely destroyed a Russian air defense position which had S-400 elements present at the time of the attack.
Lets continue with the general events. No military aid, but South Korea has sent financial aid to Ukraine.
Budanov said that stories brought into the media about his 'resignation' hold no truth.
Zelensky spoke to Scholz.
According to Ukraine's intel, a significant number of missiles, artillery systems and shells were sent from North Korea to Russia.
Changes in Ukraine's General Staff. And according to Ukrainian military sources, these changes are positively welcomed.
CNN reportedly found out what the new Ukraine envoy is preparing in terms of a 'peace plan' for Ukraine and Russia.
Ukraine is renewing its push to join NATO.
After signing a law that would prohibit payments to soldiers that deserted, 6000 military men have rejoined the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Zelensky said to Sky News that Ukraine is open to the possibility of allowing Ukraine into NATO but only with the territory currently under Ukrainian control. Accepting that occupied territories need to come back later solely via diplomatic ways.

In a rapid offensive during the last 48 hours, anti-government rebels in northern Syria have captured dozens of villages. Most important: they have entered -and already claim control over- Aleppo, the second largest city in Syria.

A thread is opened to cover the most important events.
Syrian General Maher al-Assad, brother of President Bashar al-Assad, just said that troop gathering is finished within hours and that the SAA (Syrian Arab Army) will not allow Aleppo to fall. Image
