Just finished my most difficult Apple Silicon storage upgrade yet... 512GB to 8TB on an M3 Max MacBook Pro! This was especially difficult, as it required installing around 100 extra tiny components to use the second set of 4 NANDs...
Because I didn’t have schematics for this model, I had to painstakingly hand draw this diagram to locate the correct position of each component, which I derived based on a schematic for a similar model. Definitely took a long time!

@uwukko No, this is actually an absolutely terrible thing... Because the vast majority of iCloud locked devices are that way due to lack of knowledge by the owner, and NOT because they are stolen, this only serves to make things worse...
@uwukko Now, you can't even use a part from a device where the user failed to sign out of Find My. And because Find My is automatically enabled upon iCloud sign-in on every device, without any notification to the user, most users have no idea it even exists, and as such fail to sign out.
@uwukko UPDATE: From what I have seen from people actually testing this out, it appears that you CAN INDEED successfully pair parts sourced from an iCloud Locked device! Though it is presumed that parts from Lost Mode devices cannot be used, which is of course the correct approach.
