Answer: Syria is the key logistical hub for Iranian aid to Hezbollah and Palestinian Resistance.

Syria also helps manufacture weapons for these groups.

Back in 2013, Hezbollah leader Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah warned, “If Syria falls, Palestine is lost.”

"Syria is the backbone of the resistance, and the resistance will not stand with its arms crossed while its backbone is being broken."

Israel perfectly understands the importance of Syria to the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance.

Israel has been supporting anti-Assad militants in Syria since 2011.

There’s a good chance they were involved in the current terrorist offensive.

The current chaos also provides Israel an opportunity to seize even more Syrian land (Israel has been occupying Syria’s Golan Heights since 1967).

Israel media has been reporting that Israel will invade southern Syria to “establish a buffer zone” if Homs falls.

Finance Minister Bezael Smotrich revealed that Israel is already drawing up plans for 2025.

No arms to Hezbollah and Palestinian resistance = No pushback.
