SitRep - 10/12/24 - A day full of Russian losses, but also advances in the Kursk region.

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Despite heavy losses, Russians gained ground in the Kursk region and near Toretsk.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours.
NGU unit Omega with an overview of recently destroyed Russian equipment.
A Russian boat+personnel were hit on the Dnipro river.
Ukraine struck an ammunition depot in Yenakiieve.
A Tigr-column was destroyed in the Kursk region.
More destroyed equipment in the Kursk region,this time mainly supply vehicles were targetted.
A BMP and a tank were destroyed by TIVAZ artillery group.
Lets continue with the general events. Zelensky once again stated it is not the priority of Ukraine to lower the draft age to 18 years.
A new unmanned ground drone was officially introduced into the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Five more Ukrainians were freed from Russian captivity.
The US State Department -on the other hand- thates that if Ukraine drafts more people, they will do everything to equip them.
Polish PM Tusk believes talks between Ukraine and Russia could start in January already.
Despite big words, Merz somewhat retracted his words.
Zelensky urged for 10-12 Patriot systems to protect Ukraine.
Zelensky announced a new Ukrainian missile.
The US officially announced a $20 billion loan to Ukraine.

Kursk region

Russians have advanced and recaptured Plekhove near the Ukrainian border. This happened several days ago, but fighting has occured ever since. Russians now took a definite foothold. Stories about Russians controlling Oleksandriia in the Sumy region are untrue. Image

Overnight, a lot happened. Homs was captured by rebel forces, but most important: the capital Damascus has been captured and Bashar Al-Assad has fled. Everywhere, Syrians took out on the streets.
