SitRep - 16/12/24 - Lots of repelled Russian mechanized attacks

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Lots of Russian attackes were repelled, new Norwegian aid and the Peklo cruise missile enters mass production.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours.
Another Shahed drone attack was mostly repelled overnight.
Ukraine's SBU destroyed a large ammo depot in occupied Donetsk.
A new domestic record. A GUR sniper took down a Russian servicemen at 2069 meter.
Today we witnessed lots of video's showing failed Russian mechanized attacks. Startign with one from the 77th Air Mobile brigade.
A destroyed VPK-URAL in the Kursk region.
Ukrainian pilots struck a Russian filled bunker near Chasiv-Yar.
The 17th Tank Brigade repelled a large Russian/North Korean attack in the Kursk region.
Two days ago, a combination of brigades repelled a massive Russian mechanized attack in the Siversk region.
The 63rd brigade repelled a mechanized attack near Kreminna.
A Grad-P mobile MLRS system destroyed.
A BMP-1 obliterated by a Ukrainian FPV.
Lets continue with the general events. Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Kuleba thinks that Zelensky will not allow Ukraine to cede territory to Russia in a peace deal.
Ukrainian officials openly dismiss the appeal by US officials to lower the draft age to 18.
Slovakian President Pellegrini thinks Ukraine should cede territory to make peace.
Ukraine's Peklo cruise missile entered mass production.
Norway announced more naval aid to Ukraine.
The EU officially adopted a new, 15th, sanction package against Russia.
Scholz once again said that Taurus and boots on the ground are a no-go for him. Not much later, he lost a confidence vote, triggering early elections.

Ukraine claims it is operating a laser system capable of striking objects over 2km high.
Trump reported 'slight progress', whatever that might be.
