A secret campaign to disrupt and co-opt the MAHA movement was just EXPOSED.
It already goes much deeper than you think.
🧵THREAD
In November, Independent Journalist Lee Fang exposed strategies cooked up by food lobbyists to thwart RFK Jr.’s MAHA agenda.
Their first alarm bells sounded in October. @lhfang
@lhfang Invariant, a “powerful government relations firm that advises many food companies,” had a warning for their clients in October:
RFK Jr.’s influence over Trump and the Republican Party was growing. @RobertKennedyJr
@lhfang @RobertKennedyJr Since Trump’s victory and selection of Kennedy as HHS Secretary, Fang reported, “those initial alarm bells have become a SIREN.”
In November, food lobbyists met once again to discuss the rise of the MAHA movement:🧵
One participant in the November meeting was Danielle Beck.
Beck represents “PepsiCo, makers of Doritos and Cap’n Crunch, and the Corn Refiners Association, a trade group for the largest producers of corn-based seed oils.”
She suggested in this meeting that during the Senate confirmation process, RFK Jr. could be forced to trade away key MAHA priorities in order to secure the 50 votes he needs:
“Commitments can be made to secure those votes that might end up resulting in some shifts in RFK’s overall agenda.”
She then went on to say that “Congress could limit Kennedy’s abilities” to enact his MAHA agenda even if he is confirmed by the Senate to lead HHS.
Beck floated that “agriculture and food stakeholders might look to leverage the appropriations process” to block Kennedy’s MAHA agenda.
This is not unprecedented. It happened 13 years ago.
In 2011, the House voted to continue classifying frozen pizzas as a vegetable in dietary guidelines as long as it contained at least two tablespoons of tomato paste.
Reuters reported in 2011: “According to a USDA report from November 2007, pizza and french fries were among the most commonly consumed lunch foods by participants in the national school lunch program.”
The industry’s rapid moves to counter RFK and MAHA reveal this movement’s strength.
Populism is more alive in America today than it has been in a long time.
Fang: “The farm and processed food lobby must contend with a sea change within the Republican Party, which now relies on populist vigor increasingly receptive to the idea of reforming the way American food is produced and sold.”
Lastly, Invariant credited RFK Jr.’s rise to the “growing prominence of podcasts and independent media.”
Most notably, RFK appeared on Joe Rogan in 2023 and Trump appeared just before the election.
Jenny Werwa, a strategic communications consultant with Invariant, suggested that food companies “partner with non-traditional media for content” instead of advertising exclusively on legacy media outlets.
This would open the door for food companies to influence and corrupt the content of Independent media outlets with advertising dollars the same way that they have with legacy media outlets. @joerogan
@lhfang @RobertKennedyJr The next part of this will shock you.
There is a massive psyop happening right now trying to confuse and splinter the MAGA-MAHA coalition.
Lauren Lee just uncovered a psyop to hijack the MAHA message and block a landmark PBM reform bill:🧵
A pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) is a middleman between pharmacies, pharmaceutical drug manufacturers, and insurance providers.
PBMs generate $300 billion+ in annual revenue.
In July 2024, the FTC concluded after two years of investigation that the three largest PBMs—owned by UnitedHealth, CVS, and Cigna, which manage 79% of all US prescription drug claims—exercise “outsized influence over prescription drug prices.”
Infographic from RxSafe
The FTC concluded these three largest PBMs “greatly enriched themselves at the expense of smaller pharmacies and consumers.”
President Trump agrees.
“They don’t do anything, except they’re a middleman. We’re gonna knock out the middleman. I’m gonna be very unpopular after that.”
H.R. 6283, or the Delinking Revenue from Unfair Gouging Act (DRUG Act), was introduced in the House of Representatives in November 2023 by Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks.
The bill proposes that:
“A pharmacy benefit manager shall derive no remuneration from any entity for services, benefit administration, or any other activities related to prescription drugs.”
The bill would allow PBMs to charge an entity a “bona fide service fee” only in a flat dollar amount NOT based upon a prescription drug price.
The bill would also prevent PBMs from:
1. Charging a different amount for a prescription drug than the amount that the PBM reimburses a pharmacy for the drug’s ingredient costs or dispensing fee.
2. Reimbursing a pharmacy for less than the PBM would reimburse a pharmacy owned, controlled by, or affiliated with the PBM.
3. Steering participants to a pharmacy owned, controlled by, or affiliated with the PBM.
@RepMMM
But a group called Conservatives for Lower Health Care Costs (CLHCC) is calling H.R. 6283 a “Big Pharma Bailout.”
They say it’s a “major trap for President Trump.”
Several MAGA-friendly pages and outlets ran with this narrative in recent days.
Now, who created CLHCC?
The national association that represents PBMs—Pharmaceutical Care Management Associated (PCMA).
@lhfang @RobertKennedyJr Dr. Karam Asmaro discovered today that CLHCC was created by Pharmaceutical Management Care Associated using the Internet Archive. @AsmaroMD
@lhfang @RobertKennedyJr @AsmaroMD CLHCC makes wild claims about H.R. 6283.
But they don’t back those claims up with details about the bill.
They use vague language designed to evoke an emotional response that pits Republicans against Democrats and obscures the truth about this legislation.
See for yourself:
Why would PCMA—which represents PBMs—call H.R. 6283 a Big Pharma Bailout?
To hijack the MAHA message and trick us into blocking a PBM reform bill.
A silver living is that all of this means that MAHA is winning.
The corrupt healthcare industry can’t win a fair debate, or even an unfair debate.
RFK Jr. is winning over Republican Senator after Republican Senator while several Democrats even hint at voting for him—Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, and Kirsten Gillibrand.
Kennedy is on track to be confirmed, and the corrupt healthcare industry is ready for any possible scenario. MAHA has to be just as ready.
To recap:
1. Food companies will try to force RFK Jr. to trade away key MAHA priorities to earn the 50 Senate votes needed for confirmation.
2. Food and Ag companies will try to use the House Appropriations process to block MAHA priorities.
3. Food companies will try to sponsor MAHA-friendly podcasts, shows, and journalists in order to influence their coverage, just like Big Pharma did with cable news.
4. Industry insiders are hijacking MAHA messaging to try and trick us into opposing genuine reform bills.
Stay vigilant. 🫡

Nicole Shanahan just exposed something that worries her as much as mRNA shots—and it threatens RFK Jr.’s entire legacy.
Big Agriculture is lobbying D.C. to give them a liability shield for causing cancer and other harms with pesticides.
“It feels like a concerted effort to destroy this country.”

Monsanto/Bayer is hitting back after being forced to pay billions to Americans harmed by glyphosate:🧵
Chuck Benbrook has dedicated decades to fighting against pesticide use.
So Nicole Shanahan asked him: “Are things getting better or worse?”
His answer was blunt—“Unfortunately, I don’t think they’re getting better.”
“I think American farmers are as reliant on pesticides for pest control as they were 30-40 years ago … and the adverse effects of pesticides on the pests themselves has really become a huge problem.”
“If there’s anything I learned about how deep the deep state is … it’s deeper than we could ever imagine.”
Is a political revolution around the corner?

Here’s why:🧵
In his 1796 farewell address, George Washington warned that political parties would become engines for the destruction of our Republic.
“They are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”
“The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism.”
