To offset this stupid plan, they plan to BUY other land that may be "more beneficial for wildlife habitat connectivity, public access needs and carbon sequestration." Because deer and squirrels need to connect to the internet? Why not put solar panels on Commercial rooftops? 2/5
This is supposedly all to help meet Michigan's Healthy Climate plan goals. The problem? The Healthy Climate Plan SPECIFICALLY says to “avoid land-use conversion that causes a net increase in greenhouse gas emissions." Oops. Oh well, they'll just ignore THAT. 3/5
@MichiganDems couldn't get away with raising hunting/fishing licenses 50% & forcing everyone to buy a $16 park pass, so they will cut down forests, ignore their own climate plan, ignore climate impact, ignore public wishes, and sell the land instead! TIMBER!
