SitRep - 02/01/25 - 4 downed πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί helicopters in recent days.

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In recent days, Russia lost 2 Mi-8 and 1 Mi-24AN helicopters and another Mi-8 got damaged. Crews of those destroyed were killed.

As usual we start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours.
Overnight, Ukraine repelled a fairly large Shahed drone attack.
This is how one of the Shahed drones was shot down.
Recently, Ukrainian naval drones attacked occupied Crimea and footage showed how Mi-8 helicopters were attacked. The GUR now reports that 3 (2 destroyed and 1 damaged) were taken down during that particular attack.
In addition to that, confirming yesterday's rumors, a Russian Mil Mi-28AN was shot down. Allegedly by Russia's own air defense.
A command post in the Kursk region was struck today.
War footage frtom the Kursk region. Ukrainian SSO soldiers eliminating and capturing Russian soldiers.
RAROG UAV batallion at work, destroying several pieces of heavy equipment.
AASM HAMMER bombs on Russian positions.
Consequences of a recent attack on a Russian headquarters in Ivanivske, Kursk region where the 810th brigade was stationed.
Lets continue with the general events. Is Turkey taking over Ukraine's positions as natural gas transporter to Europe?
Former UA officials urge for more Ukrainian men to be mobilized.
Newly built trenches in the Pokrovsk direction. A good sign, but these trenches now need to be manned properly.
About time, but a good step forward. Each Ukrainian soldier will receive a 'wounded package' from now on.
Transnistria is literally collapsing after it cannot turn on the heat anymore and the lack of energy resources.
New EW immune drones will be integrated into Ukrainian units more now.
Zelensky gave an interview in which he responded to several questions about the war and the near and long future of Ukraine.

Pokrovsk direction

Russians -after regrouping- once again became active in the Pokrovsk direction. On the western flank, Russian forces captured Novovasylivka and are pressing towards Vovkove-Zirove. Near Shevchenko, Russians are pushing along the railway tracks to Novoukrainka. Image
