JNUSU students at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) staged a provocative protest march, organised by leftist and Marxist groups, ostensibly demanding implementation of UGC guidelines and enactment of the long-pending 'Rohith Act' in memory of Rohith Vemula.

The event, held at Sabarmati Dhaba on the JNU campus, saw participants burning an effigy symbolically representing "Brahmanism" amid a barrage of inflammatory slogans targeting Brahmins, the BJP, and the RSS.

As per sources, the slogans reportedly included:

"Brahman Murdabad"
"Rohit Ke Hatyaron ko ek dhakka aur do"
"Manuwad/Brahmanwad Jalega"
This display, peddled as anti-caste activism, quickly descended into open hate speech against an entire community, once again exposing the anti-Hindu and anti-Brahmin venom routinely amplified by radical left elements in taxpayer-funded campuses like JNU.
We spoke with Sunil Yadav, General Secretary of JNUSU. Some of his slogans like “Manuwad se azadi” and “Brahminwad se azadi” have also gone viral on social media. He said these slogans were raised on 26th January.

He was blamed for the so-called 'goof up'. It was claimed that he wrote Rahul Gandhi's name in the register for non-Hindus.

Tyagi had rubbished these claims and even challenged reporters to compare his handwriting with the one on the register.
