This strange artifact was found in a field in Alabama in the 19th Century

Initially, it was thought to just be some random art

But new research shows it contains the Key to PROVING a connection between the Mayan Culture and the Mississippian culture

Why in this thread 🧵🧭Image
Image
This new research is from Anthropologist
@CamHMcConnell

The motifs, details, symbols, and angles on this calendar disk were painstakingly discovered by this brilliant man Image
The symbols on the disk show similarities to motifs in Mayan and MesoAmerican culture

This evidence is pretty strong, but still circumstantial

The twin serpeants, The hand and eye, the corn tails, all point to Mayan Culture

But the real evidence is in the details Image
The Calendar is connected to a ritual called the "Green Corn Ceremony"

Apparently allowing the keepers of the calendar to have TWO corn harvests a year

The introduction of this culture in the Mississippi coincides with the introduction of Corn cultivation in Meso-America Image
Through planning planting and harvests around the astronomy inherent in the Rattlesnake Disc, adherents to this religion, notably the Maya (known as People of the Corn) the people could harvest vast amounts of Maize

Here is how it works and how it proves the Mayan-Mississippi Connection
The center of the Rattlesnake Disk is skewed 9 degrees, which could be a mistake, but upon inspections seems to be intentional

This 60 degree angle represented here is the exact angle you see the sunrise on the summer solstice

The 9 degree offset shows WHEN the calendar was created, as this is offsets for the Earth's tilt on its axis, to locate the North Star (bear with me here, Cam explains this better than me)Image
Image
The two snakes on this disk resemble the Hero Twins of Popol Vuh, found throughout Mayan Culture, including Chichen Itza

One with chevrons, one with stair-stepping pattern

Also notice the tail tips, that appear to be corn kernels

Quetzalcoatl is the God of Corn Image
Vega and Cassiopeia on the right and left sides of this image respectively

Lined up with the disk, the ends of the tongues align exactly with these stars, and the center with the north star, offset of course

This combined with the 60 Degree angle orients an individual in the night skyImage
Image
Calendar Maps to Visualize the connection Image
Image
Additionally, the Calendar Disk reveres rattlesnakes.

Rattlesnakes are known to live in Corn Fields and eat pests that harm the corn. Image
There is more evidence of this, and explained better by
@CamHMcConnell

Follow him for his Archaeology, and find the full video of his explanation on my youtube here

This includes connections of this same math in the megaliths of Mesoamerica

A Culture's Drug Use Explains the Culture

They Change Over time, marking greater cultural shifts

Thread🧵on the Culture of Drug Use, starting with Hallucinogens Image
Distinct Evidence of Hallucinogenic Drug Use Dates Back 3000 Years.

However, Humans have likely used Hallucinogens even longer.

We just don't have hard proof of it Image
The type of Hallucinogens taken varies widely based on what is available to a Culture (What they have in their Physical Area)

Many "primitive" Cultures living Traditional Hunter-Gatherer or Pastoralist Ways of Life have Cultures Based on Hallucinogens Image

I used to think the Crusades were Evil

Bloodthirsty Christians killing for religion

But learning beyond what I was taught in school made me rethink this entirely

Thread on why the Crusades were justified🧵 Image
The most basic information changes the entire situation

Before the Islamic Expansion starting in the 7th c. the Holy Land was full of Christians and other religions

The Crusades were not a conquest but a RE-conquest Image
Expansion of Islam captured historically Christian, Zoroastrian, and polytheistic land

If you Zoom on this map it shows years of battles

How can the Crusades be uniquely evil when they attacked land that was Christian just a few hundred years prior? Image

In a room of an Average 100 Open Defecators 58 of them Would be Indian Image

The Crusades are demonized even in modern Western Culture

Helpless Muslims just defending their land from evil Christian invaders?

Not even close. Defensive Wars in direct response to Islamic expansion

Context for why the Crusades were justified thread 🧵✝️☦️ Image
Prior to Islam

Christianity reached North Africa and Asia Minor (Middle East)

Zoroastrianism in and around Persia

ARABIA was multi-religious,✡️ Jews, ✝️☦️Christians, other Abrahamic Religions, & Pagans all lived thereImage
Over several Centuries

Islam☪️ Exploded Here Unifying Many People Through Persuasion as well as Violence

Within the lands peace and stability ensued

but indigenous beliefs and Peoples were still crushed, and the Expansion threatened Other Seats of Power Image

486 Arikara American Indians in a mass grave, Missouri River

Men, women, kids, bodies mutilated on the site of their destroyed village. Even their dogs slaughtered.

But the year is ~1325. The perpetrators unknown, but pre-European

Crow Creek Massacre thread 🧵 Image
Even today, some people assert that Europeans brought the concept of total war
This is not true

The site of the massacre was found in the 1950s, reported on in 1978 by the SD Archaeological Society

The Famous Wounded Knee, by comparison, was *only 150-300 people Image
While we don’t know who, or exactly when, the attack occurred

We know that the village was preparing expanded defenses in the form of a ditch

The village abutted a cliff, providing an easier line of defense but also no possible escape Image

Nov 2022, Flint Dibble wrote a thread that would end up resulting in him going on Joe Rogan

The thread was about Graham Hancock's Ancient Apocalypse Season 1

It is filled with innacurate statements, misdirections, and lies

Thread 🧵 Image
Issues start almost immediately

The first lines of Ancient Apocalypse are NOT declaring an all out assault on archaeology, but about the OPPOSITE.

They are about ACADEMIA'S attacks on HIM

Shown here in video Image
More issues just in this tweet

>> "mainstream" archaeologists

Only mainstream is in quotes. Because Hancock never said this.

He discussed issues with ACADEMIA broadly.

This line from about mainstream ACADEMIA is in the context of Flint's issues with being attacked by Michael Shermer, not an archaeologist, and his colleague Marc Defont, a GEOLOGIST

(By the way Flint, a geologist is not an archaeologist)Image
