He hated Jews and would have fully supported gulags for all Jews. In his last years he advocated for peace between Jews and Russians to both share guilt. Can you imagine? What guilt Jews have to share with their oppressors? Hating Soviet system does not make him hero. All normal people should hate totalitarian regimes.
Being russian Soviet dissident is not alone worthy of respect. Navalny was dissident under Putin and hated Muslims, cheered Chechen genocide. But he’s such hero🙄
Even opposing Putin is not heroism. It’s basic human responsibility. That only few manage such responsibility is not heroism. It’s just being human being. Are we to make heroes out of human beings just for being human beings? Then what that say about Russia? It says that out of over hundred million, only few people can be called human beings. And out of those, very few can be called heroes.

Stop telling me all Russians should be like this one good one. Same argument was made against Tsarist Russia. Rise up all good Russians. And what they did? Became exactly same. Then all russians should rise up against Soviets. Look at these dissidents, such heroes. What happen next? Soviets collapse and they became same. Now it’s call for all good russians to rise up against Putin. Look how brave such people are. And what you think will happen when Putin falls? They suddenly stop being who they are?
It’s not just Putin. It’s not just Stalin. It’s not just Tsar. There is no russian opposition to support. There can be no redemption. It’s not possible. Our only hope is to isolate ourselves from them and build up our military defenses.
