1/ The ADL has consistently participated in the surveillance of social justice movements, including civil rights, anti-Apartheid, immigrant, farmworker, queer, Palestinian rights, & labor movements 🧵

2/ As early as the 1930s, the ADL has consistently partnered with government & law enforcement towards such ends. While claiming to be invested in civil rights, the org instead is actively undermining such movements.
3/ Instead of working to stop antisemitism, the ADL has consistently weaponized antisemitism in ways that not only undermined the real rise of antisemitism amongst contemporary right wing fascist movements, but also encourages the antisemitic positions these groups take on.
4/ Hence their quick apology for Musk's clear Nazi salute yesterday. We can be outraged but we should not be surprised. Keep your eyes open - this is only the beginning.

Yesterday the majority of American voters decided they preferred a far far right conservative fascist leader over a far right liberal fascist leader. Some of the specific outcomes are different but the general results are & would be the same. 🧵
Folks organizing on the left (call them/us progressives if you want) have been calling for & fighting for a political practice that sees those who are most vulnerable & marginalized & have the most to lose (& therefore the most to gain) as the central focus of our organizing.
This is the only way we win but a reminder: Liberals, who create an enemy out of the “right, are actually waging political warfare on those most negatively impacted by their liberal politics

3/ A reminder: Israel has been carrying out genocide w/US backing- against Palestinians in Gaza & the West Bank for a year now. It’s conservative to say 300,000 Palestinians have been murdered (the #s may be much higher) 90% of Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced

1. If you're wondering who is training & organizing the Zionist students who are harassing, intimidating, attacking, & recording/reporting students protesting against the US/Israeli genocide in Gaza, look no further than @HillelIntl & Hasbara Fellowships:

2. Our college/university campuses are actively supporting the training of US college students as a mouthpiece for a foreign govt. Many campus Hillel's hire former Israeli soldiers ("Israel Fellows") to encourage Jewish students to spend time in the region/serve in the military.
3. On the one hand, college/university admins are attacking some students for very critical protest/dissent/agitation against genocide while, on the other, they are supporting this completely unhinged propaganda project invested in turning college students into genociders. WILD.
