Breaking — I am covering the trial of Portland Antifa's "Super Soldier" Isabel Rosa Araujo.
Araujo has been accused of violently assaulting a female victim during an Antifa direct action in March 2024.
He is being prosecuted by the Multnomah County District Attorneys Office🧵
Araujo, 39, of Portland, was captured on video launching an unprovoked macing attack on a female counter protester at a Portland park in March 2024.
Araujo has been charged with fourth-degree assault, harassment, and unlawful use of mace.
He has a security role within Rose City Antifa that includes identifying political targets to attack.
He wears a patch on his black bloc militant uniform that reads: "Antifa Super Soldier"
He is now in Court to defend his actions, and if found guilty, faces jail time.
Araujo was taken into custody over the attack in July 2024 after Portland Police officers identified him as the assault suspect while he was participating in a separate Antifa direct action to disrupt a Christian worship event.
Araujo has a lengthy history of violence and threats throughout his tenure with Rose City Antifa.
He identifies as transgender and was born under the name Philip Vincent Haskins-Delici.
Additionally, he has a serious infatuation with weapons.
Araujo has maintained his innocence in this case.
His defense team has created a strategy to portray him as a victim of "mistaken identity" because he had been concealing his identity behind black bloc attire when he allegedly assaulted the victim.
Prosecuting the case for the state of Oregon is Deputy District Attorney Noah Berg of the Multnomah County District Attorneys Office.
Presiding over the case is Judge Adrian Lee Brown.
There are no individuals in the gallery, including members of Antifa, to support Araujo at this time.
I am covering the trial for @TPostMillennial.

Breaking: I am at the federal courthouse in Portland covering the initial hearing for Robert Jacob Hoopes, an Antifa militant who was arrested by the @FBI following a massive raid at his home on Friday.
Hoopes has been accused of launching several violent attacks on federal police officers at the ICE facility in Portland on June 14 during the "No Kings" riot.
According to an unsealed FBI affidavit, Hoopes allegedly threw a large rock at an ICE officer's head, resulting in serious bodily injury.
He was captured on surveillance video footage staging multiple rocks near the facility before throwing them at federal police officers.
Hoopes allegedly placed a motorized scooter in front of an exit door in an attempt to trap federal officers inside the ICE facility. When an officer opened the door to stop the entrapment, Hoopes allegedly threw a large rock, hitting the ICE officer in the head, according to the affidavit.
Additionally, Hoopes was captured on surveillance video using a desecrated Stop sign as a "battering ram" in an attempt to break the ICE gate. This task was done with several other Antifa militants, according to court documents and surveillance video.
Hoopes has been federally charged by the Department of Justice with assault on a federal police officer resulting in bodily harm and depredation of government property.
Hoopes was taken into custody by the FBI on Friday, June 25. FBI agents raided his home, where he lives with his girlfriend, who is also involved with the Antifa occupation at the ICE facility.
According to witness accounts, FBI agents raided his home in the early morning hours with their guns drawn. Other occupants, including Hoopes' girlfriend, were allegedly handcuffed and removed to the street wearing only undergarments after being combative with officers.
Just in — ICE SRT launched a surprise targeted arrest Friday night, capturing an infamous Antifa militant involved in the occupation outside the ICE facility in Portland.
The militant, nicknamed “Skateboard man,” was apprehended and placed in the back of a federal vehicle.
He has been a regular protester and was involved in a recent assault on a counter protester.
This is the first time I have seen federal police officers place protesters in the back of a vehicle since reporting on the occupation the past month.
I am working on finding out the details of the arrest.
“Skateboard man” recently maced @RheinDAmacher after an attempted unmasking outside the ICE facility in Portland.
Turns out his facial covering was significantly secured, resulting in a failed unmasking attempt.
I am testifying in Court today as a witness for Cloud (@Numerarch), the Portland resident who confronted Antifa and is suing the city over the illicit occupation at the ICE facility.
The lawsuit claims that Portland has failed to quell the nightly noise disturbances at the ICE facility, causing local residents persisting harm.
A couple of Antifa militants involved in the occupation are beginning to show as city witnesses.
A judge should be issuing a decision today.
Stay tuned for updates!
Now that I am done testifying as a witness, I can report on the hearing.
Cloud and another resident testified against the city earlier this morning/afternoon.
Both shared similar sentiments: they have been suffering because of the nightly noise stemming from the occupation, and have been living in fear due to Antifa outside their apt building.
A Portland resident confronts Antifa for blaring music past midnight at the ongoing ICE facility occupation:
"I'm coming back every night and I'm breaking your sh-t. We the people need sleep. You're worse than ICE, terrorizing us every night. Go f-ck yourself."
This marks Day 21 (last night) of the occupation. I put a records request in with @PortlandPolice to find out how many noise/disturbance complaints have been made since the occupation began.
@PortlandPolice Immediately after the resident complained, Antifa increased their noise disturbance.
The group has created a makeshift LRAD system, blasting it at the ICE office around 1 am. Federal police responded so a vehicle could exit.
Happening now — Portland Antifa ICE Occupation Day 19.
Federal police officers bum rush out of the facility to arrest a subject who urinated on the driveway.
Dozens of black bloc Antifa lined up, defying orders to leave federal property.
A new supply tent has been set up across the street from the facility after the encampment was dismantled a few days prior.
I infiltrated the supply tent — Here’s what I found: riot gear including face shields and gas masks, medical supplies to treat riot wounds, camping equipment, etc.
Exclusive — Federal law enforcement sources told me that one of the rioters arrested Tuesday night is facing aggravated assault on law enforcement charges for throwing a machete at an officer.
This occurred during Day 17 of the ongoing Antifa siege at the Portland ICE facility, where criminal acts of violence increases by the hour, particular against law enforcement officers.
I have recorded more than 10 new arrests since Saturday, which have not yet been reported by the DOJ.
I expect a new round of charges coming soon.
There have been over 20 arrests since the occupation began earlier this month, with the majority of the subjects receiving federal charges from the DOJ.
