Breaking — I am covering the trial of Portland Antifa's "Super Soldier" Isabel Rosa Araujo.
Araujo has been accused of violently assaulting a female victim during an Antifa direct action in March 2024.
He is being prosecuted by the Multnomah County District Attorneys Office🧵
Araujo, 39, of Portland, was captured on video launching an unprovoked macing attack on a female counter protester at a Portland park in March 2024.
Araujo has been charged with fourth-degree assault, harassment, and unlawful use of mace.
He has a security role within Rose City Antifa that includes identifying political targets to attack.
He wears a patch on his black bloc militant uniform that reads: "Antifa Super Soldier"
He is now in Court to defend his actions, and if found guilty, faces jail time.
Araujo was taken into custody over the attack in July 2024 after Portland Police officers identified him as the assault suspect while he was participating in a separate Antifa direct action to disrupt a Christian worship event.
Araujo has a lengthy history of violence and threats throughout his tenure with Rose City Antifa.
He identifies as transgender and was born under the name Philip Vincent Haskins-Delici.
Additionally, he has a serious infatuation with weapons.
Araujo has maintained his innocence in this case.
His defense team has created a strategy to portray him as a victim of "mistaken identity" because he had been concealing his identity behind black bloc attire when he allegedly assaulted the victim.
Prosecuting the case for the state of Oregon is Deputy District Attorney Noah Berg of the Multnomah County District Attorneys Office.
Presiding over the case is Judge Adrian Lee Brown.
There are no individuals in the gallery, including members of Antifa, to support Araujo at this time.
I am covering the trial for @TPostMillennial.

The targeting of the ICE agent pertains to the arrest of Hugo Ramirez-Hernandez, 37, an illegal migrant from Mexico with an extensive criminal history.
He was taken into custody on March 8 in Wenatchee, Wash., according to ICE.
