@itsallrealitv Yes, there are a lot of dumb MAGAs. Ha ha. I think we all knew and expected that to be the case. But let's get back on point.
Larry Ellison never even completed undergrad, so why is his opinion on this subject worth anything?
@itsallrealitv Also, do understand that clinical testing can only provide evidence for the safety and effectiveness of specific treatments, and not for general types of treatments?
@itsallrealitv Eg. When the first vaccine went through clinical testing and then into clinical use, this did not eliminate the need for testing other vaccines. There was no demonstration of the safety of anything that somebody happened to refer to as a vaccine, because Science isn't Magic.
@itsallrealitv Science won't do just whatever you want it to do.
@itsallrealitv Any scientifically educated person, on hearing what Mr. Ellison said, is going to feel the urge to cringe, because it was so broad as to be childish.
@itsallrealitv Ever see a three year old child want to pet a snarling dog, because he has this idea that "doggies are good." Replace dogs with mRNA, and that's the level that Ellison was approaching a medical matter on.
@itsallrealitv It's not only not a scientific way of looking at things, it's not even an adult way of looking at them.
@itsallrealitv When adults, en masse, fail to function on an adult level out of some desire to own the MAGAs, they just end up owning themselves.

@MJTruthUltra Legitimate scientists do not "trust the Science" in the way that the semi-educated laymen in the press kept urging us to. Real science is empirical. Until something has been tested (and really well supported) by experiment, no honest scientist will call it Science.
@MJTruthUltra When theoretical discussions of what "should" be true are allowed to take the place of experimental verifications of suspected truths, what one has isn't Science. At best, it's a modern version of Medieval Scholasticism.
@MJTruthUltra During the Covid drama, that modern Scholasticism was allowed to drown out the voices of those who spoke for real science, and it was backed up with the force of administrative power, both on the governmental and corporate levels.
