Trump says he is pulling out of funding the WHO, but the WHO is still deeply embedded throughout the U.S., as is the UN. Keep reading... @realDonaldTrump @POTUS

2) People forget or are unaware of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), founded in 1902, long before the UN. PAHO covers all of the Americas. The WHO’s western hemisphere regional office is located within PAHO and they work together on a host of projects and programs.

3) OAS, FAO, and the UN were all given the very first immunities and privileges by President Truman under the International Organizations Immunities ACT, back on February 19, 1946. Five months later...

4) Five months later PAHO was given the same immunities, along with the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and an onslaught of other organizations followed, including Bill Gates' Global Fund. The last one was given out on January 12, 2017 by Barack Obama.

6) These particular groups; UN and all of its arms including the WHO, World Bank, and so on, plus PAHO have additional immunities through special treaties. Their documents, bank accounts, archives, employees, and headquarters are all totally inviolable.

8) PAHO partners with the WHO on countless projects. One such project is to train health personnel in the Americas, including the U.S.

9) Through PAHO’s Virtual Campus for Public Health (VCPH) and the WHO’s Academy, they partner with universities to provide training to nurses and beyond. In December they added the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. paho.org/en/news/17-12-…

@realDonaldTrump @POTUS 16) It’s also important to note that these privileges and immunities are not just given by the U.S. There are 193 member states in the UN, all giving these immunities. Many of these member states also give immunities to numerous other organizations, much like the U.S. does.
