There are so many theories flying around as to whether the tariffs are, or are not about securing the northern border that I wanted to create a thread on this. I will start by focusing on the border issue, then I'll move to the grand plan
I wanted to start by highlighting that the US/Canada border is NOT secure. It's not even just the border. It's the drugs, the ports, and the money laundering. @jasonjamesbnn
And this tactic Trudeau is using is to downplay Canada's culpability by saying that we are less than 1% of the migrant problem for the US, even those appear to be lies.

Just recently, Trump put out a post on Truth Social giving an ultimatum to every US friendly nation. They either side with the BRICS Nations, or with the SWIFT banking system, so letting the Chinese traffic drugs in Canada is a problem for the US.
What Trump/MAGA is doing is ridding the world of global progressivism (aka globalism). This is why there is so much support for this 51st state suggestion in Canada: Canadians see Trump as the enemy of their enemy.
No one wants to say it, but the issue is that we are trading with an evil nation (China) which is bribing & blackmailing our politicians in a manner that far surpasses what a Western nation like the US would consider doing. @jasonjamesbnn
I suspect Trump knows that Trudeau has allowed himself to be severely compromised by taking in all these Chinese donations himself, mirroring what the Bidens and Clintons are doing south of the border. @jasonjamesbnn
I've often asked, what's the problem with money laundering if the crimes are committed elsewhere, and the answer is that the money laundering, and the subsequent bribing of officials to get access to unpoliced ports IS the crime. @jasonjamesbnn
Danielle Smith is smart and she realizes that Ottawa will come begging it for resources soon, so she is positioning herself on friendly terms with Trump.
Eby comes across as a moron. He has fallen in line, and like Ford is throwing his province under a bus to support Trudeau, and by extension, the promise of more socialism.
Panama has also caved now, so everything seems to be going according to Trump's plan. In the next thread I'll go over what it appears that plan may be.
I think, for Trump, this goes back to his first term where Angela Merkel told him right to his face that she wouldn't pay her 2% NATO commitments b/c she knew America would pay it for them anyways. Trump is simply tired of US being the sucker.
Trudeau is trying to make Trump the bad guy, and pull another covid where we have to all work together to get out of this calamity. But one look at the percentage of Canadians afflicted with TDS on Jan 6, 2020 vs Jan 6, 2024, and it's like a 75 point spread.
19/
In addition to the aim of getting Canada to secure their border, Trump also has a grander vision of bringing manufacturing back to America, and he is using tariffs as a vehicle to do so.
20/
Trump's legacy, then, will be a complete overhaul and reimagining of the post world war, Bretton Woods system of commerce!
21/
Part of the justification for this new commerce system is the argument that America should not be providing this economic stability free of cost. Essentially, the tariffs should go towards financing the US military machine.
22/
Under this expanded view, Canada & Mexico are to act as examples to the rest of the world, to ensure they are forced into compliance.
23/
Apparently, no one in the Liberal party or the Ontario government bothered to actually try to understand the Trump vision, so they just think Trump likes tariffs.
24/
The Trump administration has also taken objection to some of our protectionist tactics, like supply management (aka the dreaded dairy cartel), the banks, and the telecom corps.
25/
Trump wants to unleash his economy, whereas we have globalists who want to shackle ours and further impoverish us. This is why his 51st state tactic gained so much support among Canadians.
26/
The Liberals will not try to negotiate b/c they need the tariffs to win the election. The Liberals care about their party first, and the country second. This is the fundamental problem of the party system.
27/
Maxime Bernier of the People's Party is the only national leader who has offered anything that resembles a solution to this calamity: @MaximeBernier @peoplespca
1. Secure the Border – Crack down on fentanyl, deport all illegals, and halt immigration. 2. Renegotiate Trade – Put NAFTA, dairy supply management, and key issues back on the table. 3. Reduce U.S. Dependence – Tear down interprovincial trade barriers and find new export markets. 4. Boost Productivity – Cut taxes, slash regulations, end corporate subsidies, and build a gold reserve.
I'm fascinated with how we lost their mind with this Ukraine war and have fallen into this Russia Bad/America Good mindset. I see it as the US empire trying to take over the world and NATO being UN 2.0 but with an army.
This is an interesting theory from Mike Benz: the US wanted to strangle Russia's economy so it used the fear of climate change to get Europe off of cheap Russian gas. Being heavily reliant on the US for security, Europe went along. @MikeBenzCyber
3/
The reason the CIA is obsessed with taking over Ukraine is that they want to move away from their current policy which is offending Europe, and instead use Ukraine's energy resources to pry Europe away from Russia, thus bankrupting Russia. @MikeBenzCyber
Mr. Kirk Riese has a very compelling story implicating the Canadian Armed Forces, and by extension the federal government, in a tax theft & money laundering scheme. I wish to help him out by capturing this story in an easy to follow thread.
2/
- Part 1 of this 3 part thread will focus on the actual crime
- Part 2 will focus on Mr. Riese's attempts to blow the whistle
- Part 3 will focus on how they tried to destroy Mr. Riese
3/
In 2010, Mr. Riese joined a sub-component of the Canadian Army Reserve called the Canadian Rangers. Rangers work in remote regions, carrying out search & rescue work, and sovereignty patrol.
@TheRealTedKuntz, President of @VaccineChoiceCA, drops its case against the government and they explain why in plain English (b/c our courts are broken).
What @TheRealTedKuntz is trying to say here is that the judges refused to listen to anything going against the main stream media narrative (ie. taking judicial notice of the mainstream story).
3/
Here, @TheRealTedKuntz is saying that the judges believed whatever the government said, and refused to believe they could be wrong.
First off, during the protests in Ottawa, there was an attempt to get the protestors under charges blocking critical infrastructure, like highways, which was one step below terrorism.
3/
After 4 years of covid where appointed judges stripped us of what we thought were God given rights, I don't want to give them any more power.
Let's go over the BC Supreme Court decision concerning the issue of the reasonableness of Bonnie Henry's October 5, 2023 health orders and whether it was reasonable for her to maintain that we are still in a state of emergency for covid 19 as of that date.
2/
As per usual, the title page is completely incomprehensible.
3/
Looks like the suit was brought by terminated healthcare workers, or what we generally just refer to as 'terminated nurses'.
The Office of Federal Housing Advocate (FHA) is talking about nationalization of housing, which is what the @bcndp are pushing for here in BC as well, but they are hiding behind the phrase 'low income housing'.
3/
The government destroys the economy, causing the rich to invest in land as a safe hedge, which drives up the cost of housing, which pisses off the poor, so the government regulates the rich until they, too, are poor. It's the socialism spiral.
