Welcome to the Heritage Alliance AGM 2025! 🎉 Today we’ll be reflecting on the past year, inducting new Trustees and saying goodbye to those stepping down, and celebrating the work of our members. Stay tuned for live updates throughout the event 📢
Welcome to our new trustees, Deepika Kanthavara Madhava, Sophia Price and Katy Baldwin, who join our Board this year 🎉
We look forward to learning from their expertise in architecture/community heritage, landscape management, and local government/strategic finance, respectively.
Today, we say goodbye to two Trustees as they complete their terms: @PeterAiers, Master of The Charterhouse, and @JanWills5, Chair of Oxford Archaeology. They have served as Trustees for 6 and 7 years respectively and we are enormously grateful for their hard work and commitment.
@PeterAiers @JanWills5 Our Chair @CaroleSouter thanks our outgoing Acting Chair, Dr Ingrid Samuel: “As Deputy Chair, she has twice stepped in to lead the organisation at a time of great sadness and difficulty and has done so with skill, determination and great sensitivity.”
@PeterAiers @JanWills5 @CaroleSouter We have re-elected Ingrid Samuel for an extraordinary fourth term of one year. Ingrid formerly served as our Acting Chair in 2023/2024 and continues to serve as our Deputy Chair. Ingrid is Placemaking Director at the National Trust and holds an OBE for services to heritage.
@PeterAiers @JanWills5 @CaroleSouter We’re also pleased to announce the re-election of Roy Clare for an additional 1 year term. Roy has served as a Trustee for two terms with the Alliance and is an invaluable member of our Board with extensive expertise in maritime heritage and inclusive museum practices. @Swatchway
@PeterAiers @JanWills5 @CaroleSouter @Swatchway Lastly, we have re-elected Alice Purkiss for a second term of 3 years. Alice is an experienced and dedicated trustee who contributes a great deal as a super-connector between the worlds of academic research and practice.
