They only organized as a nonprofit to receive a green energy handout, and insisted if they didn’t receive it, they might “dissolve.”
They also indicated they had ZERO intention of being funded by anything other than taxpayer dollars.
Even more eye-raising is the organization’s willingness to admit it planned to grow from $0 to over $1 billion in a few years, all subsidized by the taxpayer.
The organization also noted in its application that it “completed less than one tax year,” and despite its questionable arrival on the scene, was still granted $2 billion.

🧵 Foreign charities are quietly shaping U.S. policy.
Our latest report finds 5 foreign groups have funneled $2B into U.S. nonprofits, with over $143M of that flowing through 3 major groups in the recently rebranded Arabella Advisors network.
New Venture Fund, formerly managed by Arabella, acts as a fiscal sponsor for 170 nonprofit projects, many of which lobby and engage in “civic engagement work” that effectively supports the left's objectives.
💰Total Foreign Funding: $69.4M
Windward Fund, also formerly managed by Arabella, supports environmental justice advocates across the U.S.
🧵 NEW: A British billionaire is secretly bankrolling U.S. policy and advocacy campaigns.
Christopher Hohn, a foreign national barred from influencing American elections, has funneled at least $553M into U.S. groups to push a far-left agenda.
Hohn’s nonprofit — the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) — is pouring foreign money into America.
Recipients include:
🔹 Arabella Advisors’ dark money network
🔹 Climate litigation & protests
🔹 A China-linked group pushing a gas stove ban
CIFF doesn’t just fund U.S. activism. It has deep ties to China and the CCP:
🔹 CIFF’s CEO is a member of a CCP-run org.
🔹 She received a “Friendship Award” from a top CCP official.
🔹 She holds a post in China’s Belt and Road coalition — a global influence program.
🧵American elections should be for Americans — not for foreign billionaires influencing our politics.
That’s why we’ve released our new report detailing how foreign nationals use dark money to influence our elections and what can be done to STOP them.americansforpublictrust.org/document/sixte…
Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss' influence on our elections begins with the $243 million he has funneled to the dark money group Sixteen Thirty Fund.
1630 then turned around and invested nearly $100 million to fund ballot issue campaigns across 25 states over the last decade.
This spending is often concentrated in presidential battleground states such as Arizona, Michigan, and Ohio or states with competitive U.S. Senate races like Colorado, Missouri, and Nevada.
