How did Chandra Arya's son become Director & CFO of Infrastructure for India at Mark Carney's company?👇
He's 32. Has only a BComm from Carleton (!) & yet he is handling billion-dollar transactions for Brookfield in India? Seems odd to me.
One would expect someone a little more experienced with maybe an MA from a more prestigious school? Harvard? Even Rotman or John Molson.
Now Siddanth Arya has been with Brookfield before Sir Carney got there. But his time there does jive with how long the Liberals have been in office. 24 year old graduate. Dad used a connection & got him a job as an Analyst. Seems legit.
But the jump SINCE Sir Carney arrived is something to behold.
Manager of Finance for Infrastructure in Toronto to Director & CFO in Mumbai? That's a big leap which coincides with Sir Carney's time as VP.
Any future favours exchanged? I can't say for sure. But knowing Sir Carney's ambitions and how Liberals work, I wouldn't be shocked if there was a quid pro quo here.
Maybe Chandra was supposed to organize and deliver votes for Sir Carney? Maybe Sir Carney was pissed when Chandra declared himself as a candidate?
All seems pretty shady to me. Was Chandra disqualified because the Liberal establishment was angry he didn't deliver on his deal with Sir Carney?

Ever wonder how much migrants get when they arrive?
Sit down & buckle up. You'll probably want to bookmark this one. Let me break it down 🧵👇
First off, here's the link to Federal support. Just Federal. There are provincial programs in addition. You can go have a look for yourself: canada.ca/en/immigration…
Migrants are supported under the Resettlement Assistance Program. It's public as a "courtesy" apparently.
The millionaire governor of two central banks, an Oxford & Harvard-educated, in-law of hereditary peer Lord Rotherwick, is using Trudeau's closest advisors to help him win the Liberal leadership.
🧵 on the self-proclaimed "Outsider"👇
Let's start from the top. Here he is with then-Prince Charles, now King Charles III. They've met multiple times. Not much more 'insider' than the King. express.co.uk/news/royal/740…
Former Lib MP @frankbaylis has declared his intention to run for Liberal Leader.
You may remember his company - Baylis Medical - was part of a consortium which got a $237 million sole-sourced contract during COVID to provide 10000 ventilators. hilltimes.com/story/2025/01/…
The contract went to FTI professional Grade, a company that was 7-days old & had two employees.
It was then subcontracted to Baylis.
The Baylis ventilators cost 10k more than the US model they were based on.
Overall the contract was said to cost $100 million more than it should have.
The consortium provided less than 8000 of the required ventilators & did not return the rest of the money.
Baylis testified at Ethics Committee & denied any political interference or favouritism.
Who gets a pension if the next federal election is after October 20th?
Here's a list ⬇️
Let's dig into it a bit. Long 🧵.
Please give it a r/t & let's get it out there.
A few things about the list before we start.
First, I have tried to be thorough, but if there is an error, please comment & I will r/t it. I want to ensure accuracy.
The names scratched out are no longer MPs and they didn't qualify for a pension.
Names with * are not running again & have voted to bring down the government, thereby forgoing the gold plated pension
Conservatives @GeraldSorokaMP & @GaryAVidal are the only brave two to do this.
** means they were elected previously & already qualified for a pension.
One NDP, one Bloc, & 3 Tories fall under this category.
For this 🧵, I will ignore the Tories & the Bloc because 1) They have voted to bring down the govt more than once already & 2) None of them are likely to lose their seat, so they'll have a chance to secure their pension when almost certainly they are reelected.
The aforementioned two Conservatives notwithstanding.
There are 600+ reserves in this country. With each Chief plus whomever else, the National AFN conference is a big one.
Some Chiefs are hugely pro-Conservative (usually from the more successful reserves), some are far-left NDP, but I would estimate most are (unenthusiastically) Liberals.
What they all generally share - no matter which party they support or who is in power - are the desires for more money and less interference from Ottawa and a historical distrust of the federal govt.
So put anyone from Ottawa on that stage and you're almost certainly going to get some boos.
