Six B-52 Bombers Shot Down In One Night!

Tanmay Kadam recalls the period of the 🇻🇳Vietnam War when 🇺🇸 American B-52 bombers, known for unleashing devastation, were perished by 🇷🇺Soviet-made air defense missiles👇🧵 Image
1⃣ Operation Linebacker II was one of the most intense bombing campaigns in modern history. Over 200 B-52 bombers dropped 20,000+ tons of bombs in just 11 days. The goal? To force North Vietnam back to peace talks.

But Hanoi was ready. Image
2⃣ North Vietnam had one of the densest air defense networks in history, built with Soviet-supplied SA-2 surface-to-air missiles (SAMs).

The B-52 Stratofortress, America’s most powerful bomber, was expected to dominate. But in December 1972, it faced its greatest test. Image
3⃣ December 18, 1972 – 87 B-52s flew toward Hanoi, escorted by F-4 Phantoms. As they neared their targets, North Vietnamese radar operators tracked them with deadly precision.

Over 200 missiles were launched. The sky lit up with explosions. Image
Image
4⃣ The first night saw five B-52s hit, three destroyed. Crews ejected, some captured. It was a wake-up call for US commanders.

But December 20 was even worse. North Vietnam had adapted, correctly predicting US flight paths. The results were devastating. Image
5⃣ As American bombers flew in, another barrage of SAMs was unleashed. In a single night, six B-52s were shot down—the worst loss in B-52 history.

"It felt like flying into hell… we were sitting ducks," one surviving pilot recalled. Image
6⃣ Nixon was furious. Changes were made—randomized flight paths, increased electronic jamming, and decoys were deployed.

These tactics reduced losses, but by the end of Linebacker II, 15 B-52s had been lost, along with 33 American airmen. Image
7⃣ Despite the cost, Nixon declared victory. On January 27, 1973, the Paris Peace Accords were signed, leading to the withdrawal of US forces from Vietnam.

But two years later, in 1975, Saigon fell. Did the bombings really achieve their goal? Image
8⃣ The campaign proved one thing: Strategic bombing alone cannot win wars.

It also showed that even the most advanced bombers are vulnerable to a well-coordinated air defense. The lessons from Linebacker II still shape air warfare today. Image
Image
9⃣ The effectiveness of Soviet SAMs in Vietnam reshaped modern aerial combat. Today, conflicts like Ukraine highlight how advanced SAMs and drones continue to challenge air superiority. Image

India’s Pinaka MBRLS Faces PULS Challenge? Indian Firm Partners Elbit To Develop Israeli MRLS Locally!🇮🇳

Indian firm Nibe Defence partners with 🇮🇱Elbit Systems to manufacture the Precise & Universal Launching System (PULS) rocket launcher in India.

Named SURYA, it has a 300km range. 🧵#MakeInIndia #DefenceImage
PULS (SURYA) is a modular, cost-effective multi-rocket launcher firing rockets from 122mm to 306mm.

It supports loitering munitions, integrates with C4I systems, and offers a CEP of 10m for guided munitions. #IndianArmy Image
The deal includes tech transfer, boosting India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and positioning it as a global artillery exporter.

PULS complements India’s Pinaka MBRL (37.5-90km range) with longer-range strikes, enhancing firepower against threats. #makeinindia #pinaka Image

Not Nuclear Or TNT, China’s H-Bomb May Spark Global Firestorm 🔥; Here’s Why It’s Much More Destructive! 🇨🇳🚨

China tested a non-nuclear hydrogen explosive in April 2025, using magnesium hydride for a fireball lasting 2+ seconds—15x longer than TNT. 🧨

No radioactive fallout, but massive thermal impact.

A game-changer?🧵⏬#china #hydrogenbombImage
How It Works!

Magnesium hydride (MgH₂) releases hydrogen gas, ignited to create a 1,000°C+ fireball.

Unlike nuclear H-bombs, it’s a chemical reaction—clean, controlled, and devastating. 🎆🎇

Ideal for precision strikes or area denial. Image
Scaling Up Production! 📈

A new Shaanxi facility produces 150 tonnes of MgH₂ yearly via a safer “one-pot synthesis.”

From lab grams to mass production, this unlocks military and civilian uses.

China’s betting big on this tech. 🇨🇳 Image

Trump “Bonds” Arch-Enemies 🇮🇱Israel & 🇵🇰Pakistan; Should U.S. President Get A Nobel Prize? 🚨🚨

Pakistan & Israel, despite their deep divide, both nominated US President Trump for Nobel Peace Prize.

Pakistan credits his “decisive diplomacy” in ending the 4-day India-Pakistan war, while Israel praises his role in Israel-Iran ceasefire after the 12-Day War. 🧵👇#NobelPeacePrizeImage
Netanyahu handed Trump a nomination letter on July 7, lauding his peace efforts.

Pakistan’s military chief promised the same after Trump’s mediation averted a potential nuclear clash.

Yet, 🇮🇳India & 🇮🇷Iran downplay Trump’s role! 🕊️ #Trump #Peace Image
Trump, eager for the Nobel, sees Gaza ceasefire as key to his peace legacy.

🇵🇰Pakistan’s nomination may be strategic, while Israel sees the US as a staunch ally.

Despite their anti-Israel stance, Pakistan joins Israel in hailing Trump’s war-ending efforts. #Diplomacy #Nobel Image

⛔️Did Russian 🇷🇺 EW Radars "DETECT" B-2 Bomber fleet headed to Iran?

🇺🇸 Latest US Intel says Strikes on Iran Not Very Successful despite @netanyahu and @realDonaldTrump calling it a BIG Success.

Did Putin forewarn #Tehran?
Was Russia tracking the @usairforce fleet? Image
It is quite possible that Russian forces were tracking the B-2 bombers that struck three Iranian nuclear facilities—#Fordow, #Natanz, and #Isfahan—between 2:10 AM and 2:35 AM local time on June 22, 2025.

#NuclearWeapons #NuclearWeapons Image
The B-2 fleet flew through airspace monitored by Russia using two types of radar systems.

✅Container over-the-horizon (OTH) radars
✅Voronezh early warning (EW) radars.

Both radars are theoretically capable of detecting stealth aircraft under certain conditions. Image
