Russian propaganda found its perfect home on X, all thanks to Musk. What did he do to make Russian propaganda thriving on X? 🧵

After the full-scale war started, the Kremlin-related accounts started reaching more people, according to a study by the European Commission. Because of new Twitter's safety standards, in early 2023 they received a significant boost and keep gaining more followers.

Elon Musk made a big mistake when chose to lift mitigation measures on Kremlin-backed accounts. His excuse was stating that "All news is to some degree propaganda." As a result, the reach of pro-Kremlin accounts has grown by 36 percent.
