Meet Heba Farouk Mahfouz, a reporter in the @washingtonpost's Cairo Bureau.

Since the start of 2025, all 13 of the articles she's written have focused on Israel and Hamas.

The problem? She actually supports Hamas, and thinks Israel shouldn't exist. Let's dive in 🧵 Image
Call me old-fashioned, but I think it’s wildly inappropriate for a journalist to report on a country she believes is “illegal” and shouldn’t exist Image
Doubling down on the "Israel being illegal" thing Image
Ms. Mahfouz also thinks that Zionism—the belief in the Jewish right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland—is racism.

FYI the UN revoked and completely disavowed that resolution in 1991 Image
While she does concede that she “[doesn’t] like Hamas’ social repression of Palestinians,” she finds it in herself to still “always and forever support the resistance as long as it is against the Zionist entity."

Wow, how sweet. Image
She similarly posted that “I am always and forever with the resistance! And with Hamas and Hezbollah too, as long as their weapons are against Israel….” Image
I’d reach out to Ms. Mahfouz to get her response to all of this, but I suspect that, given what she posted on September 11, 2012, she’d probably just tell me to “F*CK OFF & SHUT THE F*CK UP!” Image
It’s been roughly nine years since Ms. Mahfouz joined The Washington Post team. Did nobody, during those approximately 3,200 days, notice her burning desire for Israel to cease existing and for Hamas to terrorize it? Not a single editor? Not a single colleague? I doubt it.
It’s simply inarguable that Ms. Mahfouz should be kept far away from any newsroom covering Israel and the Palestinians.

But with the way The Washington Post has been operating, expect her to be named Middle East Editor by next week.

When you see people gnashing their teeth and rending their garments over the arrest and potential deportation of Mahmoud Khalil, one of the lead Hamas acolytes at Columbia University, show them this thread of his greatest hits 🧵
He is in fact one of the pro-Hamas movement's leaders

Sheikh Tucker's Apology Tour 🧵

Tucker isn’t “America First.” He's America Last. And if conservatives don’t snap out of it soon, they’ll wake up one day realizing they’ve spent so much time hating the West that they forgot to save it Image
A fringe segment of the right has long flirted with the idea that Russia is some lost utopia for traditional Christian values. Never mind the gulags, the kleptocracy, or the war crimes.

At first, I chalked it up to that. But then Carlson kept going.
During Tucker's visit to Saudi Arabia, he found time to speak with British television host Piers Morgan. In a notable exchange, Carlson launched into a bizarre diatribe against Winston Churchill—yes, that Churchill—the man who quite literally saved Western civilization.

Breaking: Instagram has banned Saleh Aljafarawi—also known as Mr. FAFO—from its platform. He had 5.5M followers.

Meta confirmed to me that Aljafarawi was banned for violating its dangerous individuals and organizations policy 🧵 Image

🚨 "No Man's Land" Exposed by Pro-Palestinian Activist 🚨

Below is the text of a Facebook post published by Erez Ganor—an Israeli who claims to have worked for years to help Palestinians—about the Oscar-winning documentary "No Man's Land."

Erez deleted this post after experiencing significant backlash from other pro-Palestinian activists. It's very long, so here are the most notable parts, in my opinion:

🔸 "I just want to say that the film in question is a staged production made at the expense of the very residents whose outcry it claims to represent."

🔸 "This is an opportunistic family that has made a name for itself at the expense of the residents of the village of Al-Tuwani."

🔸 "The family stages supposedly violent incidents involving settlers, yet at the same time has no qualms about working in Israel or even with settlers."

🔸 "This is a family that spends plenty of time in Europe, funded by European grants aimed at supporting the rural population of the South Hebron Hills, driving luxury vehicles in stark contrast to the rest of the region’s residents."

🔸 "Hedonists and opportunists like these are very familiar to us, and they exist within Palestinian society as well—people who know how to exploit certain situations for their own personal benefit."

🔸 "I’ve encountered this family staging incidents on multiple occasions while I was volunteering, transporting sick children and carrying out rehabilitation work among the rural population in the Hebron area."

🔸 "Upon thorough investigation, it turned out they were receiving donations and selling them."

🔸 "The biased film produced by the Adra family, supposedly crying out the voice of the dispossessed, is actually a mockery of the poor."

🔸 "Anyone who genuinely cares about the well-being of the Arab population should seek the truth and not rely on dubious sources of information.
And to those who aren't interested in the truth—so be it."Image

1/2

"Long but worth reading:
I feel the need to clarify a few important points for anyone who seeks the truth—even if they are concerned with the welfare of the Palestinians.
I don't want to talk about the need for self-flagellation or delve into the psychological aspects of this phenomenon.
I just want to say that the film in question is a staged production made at the expense of the very residents whose outcry it claims to represent.

This is an opportunistic family that has made a name for itself at the expense of the residents of the village of Al-Tuwani.
The family stages supposedly violent incidents involving settlers, yet at the same time has no qualms about working in Israel or even with settlers.
This is a family that spends plenty of time in Europe, funded by European grants aimed at supporting the rural population of the South Hebron Hills, driving luxury vehicles in stark contrast to the rest of the region’s residents.
Hedonists and opportunists like these are very familiar to us, and they exist within Palestinian society as well—people who know how to exploit certain situations for their own personal benefit.

I’m sharing my truth as a human rights activist involved in rehabilitation and entrepreneurship efforts within Arab society, trying to help the truly needy populations in the West Bank.
I’ve encountered this family staging incidents on multiple occasions while I was volunteering, transporting sick children and carrying out rehabilitation work among the rural population in the Hebron area.

The first time was during the active staging of an event where—“purely by chance”—activists from one of the Palestinian rights organizations just happened to show up. They had been waiting in Al-Tuwani for the signal to come witness the "injured and humiliated" family member who was grazing sheep near the village.

The second time I encountered Basil was when he sought help establishing the "Judur–Roots" center, intended to be a social hub for both locals and residents of the South Hebron Hills settlements.
It’s worth noting that the family has never hesitated to work in the settlements when it served their interests.
The idea of creating the center was a tourism-related financial venture that also helped their image as “friendly,” in order to obtain work permits in Israel.

The third time was when Basil got a job at a restaurant in the Givat Shmuel area. Basil knew I was transporting sick Palestinian children back to the West Bank, and without hesitation, asked me to give him a ride home—at the expense of a seat meant for a child.

The fourth time was when they applied for a donation of a motorized wheelchair that was supposedly meant to serve them.
Upon thorough investigation, it turned out they were receiving donations and selling them.

This pattern of "cooperating with or trampling over" others is not unfamiliar within Arab society in the West Bank. Corruption has always been present there, and no occupation—whether Jordanian or Israeli—has anything to do with these patterns of behavior.

Just as the practice of inciting masses to massacre minorities was not invented in the context of the Israeli-Arab conflict.
It happened hundreds of years before the Jews returned to the Land of Israel.
2/2

To this day, the disappearance of the last Christian village in the Hebron area remains a mystery, as does the suppression of information about the massacre in Hebron—not the famous one during the 1929 riots (Tarpat).
Most of you are probably unaware that a massacre also took place in Hebron in 1922.
The 1921 riots may have subsided, but in the West Bank they continued against Christian minorities.

Hebron once had a small Christian community of about 40 households, according to the British Mandate census.
It was made up mostly of Greek Orthodox Christians, with a minority of Catholics and Russian Orthodox.
The community hosted Christian pilgrims who would visit the Tomb of the Patriarchs.

In the early 20th century, the Russian Church even established another guest complex near the city, known as "The Moscovia," which still exists today.
In 1922, an inflamed Muslim mob rose up and massacred the Christian community.
A few children survived the massacre and were taken to orphanages in Jerusalem by the Mandate police.
This was ethnic cleansing, Palestinian Arab style.

The biased film produced by the Adra family, supposedly crying out the voice of the dispossessed, is actually a mockery of the poor.
Perhaps the residents of Masafer Yatta would be living peacefully were it not for all the provocations of this wandering family, which runs social media pages, funds, connections, and more.

Anyone who genuinely cares about the well-being of the Arab population should seek the truth and not rely on dubious sources of information.
And to those who aren't interested in the truth—so be it."
