1/ Stephen Ireland, founder of @PrideInSurrey has been found guilty of r*pe of a 12 year old child. In addition, both he and David Sutton, a volunteer at Pride in Surrey, have been found guilty of other offences including voyeurism, making and distributing indecent photographs of children and intending to pervert the cause of justice . #Guilty

3/ During the trial we learnt that Ireland was previously married to a man who went on to identify as a woman. Ireland told the court that as a gay man he found this “difficult” as he is “not attracted to women”

4/ In an effort to keep the marriage alive, Ireland and his husband introduced a third person into their relationship. Charlie Watts. Watts and Ireland went on to set up Pride in Surrey. Watts remains the current CEO

5/ Ireland’s husband found a new partner and all four of them lived together for some time, eventually splitting into two couples: 1) Ireland & Watts, 2) Ireland’s husband & New partner.

Powell quickly became (and remains) Volunteer Manager at Pride in Surrey.

7/ Ireland confessed to a crystal meth addiction and stated that Watts and Powell were also users. Ireland also declared that Sam Powell was into ‘Pup play’

9/ Sutton hosted a radio show on @transradiouk . He has also been present when Ireland delivered EDI training to organisations on behalf of Pride in Surrey

10/ Ireland was arrested in April 2024 on suspicion of rape of a 12-year-old boy. Thousands of messages between Ireland and Sutton were found on various devices and became a large part of the prosecution’s case

11/ These graphic messages talked of kidnapping, drugging and r*ping children. Cruising outside schools to try and grab a kid as it was “on the bucket list”. Going to leisure centres to perv in the changing rooms and look for ‘ripe bodies’.

12/ Both Ireland and Sutton referred to themselves as ‘pedos’ with fantasies to “pump children full of oestrogen and get their vocal cords snipped.” In one message, Ireland, who is HIV positive, stated “If we breed him now, he’ll be pos in 6-8 weeks”

13/ The offences Ireland & Sutton have been found guilty of occurred between August 2022 and July 2024. During this time, Local authorities, businesses, and schools were falling over themselves to be associated with Pride in Surrey. In some cases, giving them significant sums of money

14/ Charlie Watts has known Stephen Ireland since at least 2014 and was in a relationship with him for many years. Watts remains the current CEO of Pride in Surrey. Sam Powell was also previously in a relationship with Ireland and remains as Volunteer Manager and is a Director of the Pride Hub

15/ Shortly after the arrests, Sam Powell did an interview with the BBC talking about how and why Pride in Surrey decided to continue with the Pride event in Sept 2024. He failed to mention his relationship history with Stephen Ireland. 🧐

16/ There is an undeniable conflict of interest with the remaining Pride in Surrey team. The complex web of their long-standing relationships, along with Ireland’s statements about drug use and fetish behaviour by key people still within the organisation, cast a shadow so dark that it cannot be overlooked

17/17 @PrideInSurrey is tainted beyond repair.  Watts, Powell and the remaining team should not only cancel its proposed event for September 2025, but should close with immediate effect.

@PrideInSurrey @GuildfordBC Extra- Officially the Pride hub is a separate organisation. However, it is run by the same team. Both Pride in Surrey and the Pride hub must close!
