On Jan 5, 2026, after Supreme Court rejected bail for Umar Khalid & Sharjeel Imam in the Delhi riots conspiracy case, a "protest" was organized at JNU.

It quickly spiraled into something far more sinister. 🧵

JNU Student Union (JNUSU), led by left-wing groups AISA, SFI, DSF, called a gathering to mark an anniversary of allegedly occurred violence on 5th of january 2020
But the mask of "dissent" slipped.

Slogans were raised calling for the DEATH of PM Narendra Modi & HM Amit Shah.

In no democracy does the law protect calls for the death of elected, constitutional dignitaries.

This isn't dissent. This is hate speech. This is a call for violence. It is criminal, unconstitutional, and betrays the very idea of India.

Under PM Modi, conservation of Aravallis saw:

▪️Legally recognized protection backed by scientific definition.

For years, Aravalli’s conservation suffered due to vague definitions.

That changed in Nov 2025, when the Supreme Court Accepted Environment Ministry’s definition of Aravalli Hills as landforms 100m+ above local relief, including slopes, with a mandatory 100m buffer.

This is legal recognition of conservation backed by SC!

The 100-metre buffer rule is not new.
Do you know who proposed it?

It was scientifically defined by the Forest Survey of India in 2010, during the Congress-led UPA government.

What changed under PM Modi is enforcement.

UPA merely proposed and then failed to enforce it protecting Aravalli ranges. Modi government has finally given legal protection.
