After what’s felt like forever at this point, the severe weather comes to end on the major scale. You do have a slight down in the deep Southeast, but significant significant weather. We’ve came to a close on! Now we turn our attention to the significant flood threat.

Which many rivers are already in major to moderate flood stage all over the central US along places of the Tennessee River Valley (western part), Arklateks, Mississippi and Ohio River Valleys. Flood walls for places that have them have already been closed and put up.

The cleanup also begins after a several day long period of severe weather with considerable severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hail has left a wake of ruin in several states and our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected and impacted by these events.
3/8
Fortunately, we get to have a breather cause of a cold front being propelled by a high pressure system will settle in the central US offering cool conditions with partly cloudy to clear skies for a good few days for much of the central and eastern US with occasional showers

We thank @NWSMemphis @NWSLittleRock @NWSQuadCities @NWSShreveport @NWSFortWorth @NWSPaducah @NWSMobile @NWSNashville and several other NWS offices for rolling out warning and constant updates on the weather and doing an exceptional job at keeping the public informed.
5/8
We thank @ryanhallyall @MaxVelocityWX @BrandonCopicWx @ReedTimmerUSA and several others whom I can’t remember off the top of my head for the constant recurring livestreams keeping the public informed and notified with live occurring updates as they were happening
6/8
We thank all NWS offices and weather streams from the chasers and YT weather people for staying on top of the weather and rolling out notifications and alerts. For without any of them, these last few days for what’s felt like forever could’ve a lot worse than what they were.
7/8
This period of calm to relatively calm weather is gonna be quite the enjoyable experience!

I will say on the subject of the NWS/NOAA lay offs/firings. Do not be boastful and prideful for this who say “I told you so”, those that say “That’s what you get”. As a community of people that have a love for weather, and a sense of passion for the weather.

We are to come together to make a stand for the cuts to the NWS/NOAA. To see those who said “To see the look of sadness on your face is funny, I told you this would happen.” “To see them regret their decision is comical”, and to see “Shame on you for what you’ve done”.

It’s sad to see cause of you’ve let the arrogance for an “I told you so” moment is not what we need. No matter the left or the right, all of have not liked decisions each government agency has made, and even right wing people didn’t like what the Republican governments did.
