The Titanic didn’t sink the way you think.

J.P. Morgan had a first-class ticket on the Titanic.

But he canceled at the last minute.

His biggest financial rivals stayed onboard—and never made it back.

Here’s the truth about the ‘unsinkable’ ship: Image
On April 14, 1912, the RMS Titanic struck an iceberg and sank, killing over 1,500 people.

A tragic accident. A maritime disaster.

But some researchers argue that the Titanic didn’t sink by accident—it was sunk on purpose. Image
And the mastermind? Banking mogul J.P. Morgan.

The theory suggests that Morgan, the most powerful financier of his time, deliberately orchestrated the disaster to gain a financial advantage.

The Titanic had a nearly identical sister ship: the Olympic. Image
Image
A year before the disaster, the Olympic was involved in a serious collision with the Royal Navy cruiser, HMS Hawke.

It was badly damaged and declared uninsurable.

What if White Star Line switched them to commit the greatest insurance fraud in history?
The plan:

- Rename the damaged Olympic as Titanic.

- Send it out to sea, ‘accidentally’ sink it, and collect the massive insurance payout.

Far-fetched? Maybe. But keep reading...
J.P. Morgan was the power behind the White Star Line.

At the time, he was consolidating control over the U.S. financial system through the creation of the Federal Reserve.

Three of the biggest opponents to the Federal Reserve were aboard the Titanic: Image
1. Benjamin Guggenheim (mining magnate)
2. Isidor Straus (co-owner of Macy’s)
3. John Jacob Astor IV (one of the richest men in the world)

All three opposed Morgan’s plans for the Federal Reserve.

None of them survived. Image

Meanwhile, J.P. Morgan had a first-class ticket on the Titanic—but canceled his trip at the last minute.

In 1985, researchers discovered the Titanic wreck.

But when they examined the hull, they found something shocking:

The metal plating was bent outward.

This suggests an explosion inside the ship—not just an iceberg impact.Image
What caused it?

Some claim a fire had been burning in the coal bunker before the Titanic even set sail.

If true, the ship was already doomed before it hit the iceberg. Image
No thorough investigation took place.

No one was ever held responsible.

The U.S. government and British authorities closed the case.

J.P. Morgan, meanwhile, went on to establish the Federal Reserve the very next year—securing his place as the most powerful banker in history.
No one can prove the Titanic was deliberately sunk.

But here’s what we do know:

1. J.P. Morgan controlled White Star Line

2. He canceled his trip at the last minute Image
3. Three of his biggest rivals died aboard

4. There are serious discrepancies in the Titanic’s construction, sinking, and insurance.

Coincidence? Maybe.

Or maybe one of the greatest financial schemes in history.

What do you think? Image

In 1983, one man had 10 minutes to decide the fate of the world.

Stanislav Petrov sat at his console as alarms blared: 5 U.S. nuclear missiles were "en route" to Russia.

He had two choices: launch a counterstrike or trust his gut.

What he did next saved humanity. Here's how 🧵 Image

In the 1980s, during the Cold War, the Soviets introduced a satellite-based early-warning system designed to detect U.S. missile launches.

While this technology represented a significant leap forward, it was far from perfect, a fact that would become painfully clear. Image
Petrov was stationed at Serpukhov-15, a Soviet early-warning command center outside Moscow.

His role was to monitor satellite data and alert his superiors of any imminent U.S. missile launches.

At 12:15 a.m., alarms blared. Image

In 1933, a wealthy doctor kept his dead lover’s body hidden in his apartment.

He dressed her, dined with her, and even slept beside her corpse for years.

This is the horrifying true story of Carl Tanzler: the man who married a dead woman: 🧵 Image
Image
Carl Tanzler was a German-born radiologist.

In 1927, he moved to Key West, Florida, to work at a U.S. Marine hospital.

He was eccentric, secretive, and claimed to have “visions” of a dark-haired woman who would be his true love. Image
In 1930, a beautiful 21-year-old Cuban-American woman named Maria Elena Milagro de Hoyos (Elena) was admitted to the hospital.

She was suffering from tuberculosis, a disease often fatal at the time.

When Tanzler saw her, he claimed she was the woman from his visions. Image

In 1961, the Soviets built the most powerful nuclear bomb ever.

It was 3,800 times stronger than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

So destructive that the man who built it spent the rest of his life trying to stop nuclear weapons.

This is the story of Tsar Bomba: Image
Image
The late 1950s saw the United States and the Soviet Union locked in an arms race, each trying to outmatch the other.

But in 1958, a moment of hope appeared: a voluntary nuclear test ban agreement.

For a brief moment, sanity seemed possible. Image
But everything changed in May 1960.

An American U-2 spy plane was shot down over Soviet territory.

The United States denied it was a spy plane, but the captured pilot exposed the lie.

The Soviets were outraged.

In 1910, America’s banking system was collapsing.

Six men with 1/4 of the world’s wealth boarded a train in secret to a private island.

There, they created the blueprint for the Federal Reserve.

Here's the untold story of the most powerful institution in U.S. history 🧵 Image
Image
In the early 1900s, U.S. banking was chaotic.

Banks were small, unregulated, and prone to collapse.

The Panic of 1907 triggered mass bank runs.

The U.S. economy nearly imploded, and Congress was desperate for a fix.
Senator Nelson Aldrich, head of the National Monetary Commission, quietly invited 5 of the nation’s top financiers:

1. Paul Warburg – Kuhn, Loeb & Co.

2. Frank Vanderlip – National City Bank of New York (Citibank)

3. Henry P. Davison – J.P. Morgan & Co. Image

In 1347, the Black Death killed 50 million people (50% of Europe) in just 5 years.

It wasn’t just a plague but a nightmare that rewrote history.

Here’s how the deadliest pandemic in history changed the world forever: Image
Image
The plague began far from Europe.

Historians believe it originated somewhere near the Gobi Desert or the Mongolian steppes.

Some pointed to Lake Issyk-Kul, where strange deaths had been reported as early as the 1330s.
In 1343, the Mongol leader Janibeg laid siege to the Genoese trading city of Caffa (Feodosia).

As his army camped outside the town, something strange happened: his soldiers began dying.

They developed swollen buboes, high fevers, and vomited blood before succumbing within days.

In 1944, a German U-boat vanished with 50 men on board.

For decades, no one knew what happened.

66 years later, a diver found it 400 feet below the Bay of Genoa.

The crew was still sealed inside.

This is the haunting story of U-455: a WWII mystery buried beneath the sea. Image
Image
During WWII, German U-boats were known as the "Grey Wolves."

They prowled the oceans, targeting Allied supply ships with ruthless precision.

These submarines were celebrated in Nazi propaganda as symbols of invincibility, and their crews were considered elite soldiers.
But the discovery of U-455 challenged the notion of U-boat dominance and raised questions about its tragic end.

The discovery of U-455 sparked an investigation led by divers, historians, and military experts.

Among them was Roberto Rinaldi, a former Cousteau crew diver.
