He voted for RFK Jr. — but it WASN’T an act of courage.
It was a strategic power grab.
And Big Pharma rewarded him instantly.
THREAD 🧵
1/ After RFK Jr. was nominated for HHS Secretary, Cassidy played the part of the “reasonable Republican” by voting YES.
But behind the scenes?
He was already angling for MORE power inside the Senate Health Committee.
2/ As soon as Cassidy first landed himself a role in the Health Committee, Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Biogen all came knocking.
Here’s the money trail:
$5,800 from Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla
$5,000 from Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks
$2,900 from Bristol Myers CEO Giovanni Caforio
$2,500 from Biogen CEO Christopher Viehbacher
These aren’t random.
These are board members of PhRMA –the industry’s most powerful lobbying group – buying off Cassidy with personal donations.
3/ Now Cassidy has the SOLE power to block key personnel from entering RFK’s health administration.
He can stall, reject, or pressure nominees to protect Big Pharma’s interests.
And that’s exactly what he’s doing. 👇
4/ Remember those “concessions” Kennedy had to make in order to get confirmed?
You’re feeling the effects.
With several recent walk-backs of critical MAHA priorities like MMR vaccine pullbacks, it appears Cassidy is cashing in his favors for Pharma.
5/ The concessions demanded by @SenBillCassidy all but castrate the MAHA movement, putting iron-clad protections around vaccines and personnel.
RFK Jr. must:
- Work with current safety monitoring systems (e.g.,VAERS) & not establish parallel systems
- Maintain the CDC’s advisory committee on immunization practices without changes
- Keep statements on agency websites pointing out that vaccines do not cause autism
6/ Additionally, RFK Jr. is required to give up his authority in several key areas:
- Allow the HELP Committee Chair to choose a rep for ANY board or commission formed to review vax safety.
- Give a 30 day notice to the HELP Committee if he wants to make changes to any of the federal vaccine safety monitoring programs.
7/ But it gets worse.
Sen. Cassidy made sure that he could use his authority to stop any attempt RFK Jr. makes to remove the public’s access to vaccines without ironclad, causational evidence…
… evidence that can be defended before the mainstream scientific community & before Congress.
8/ Is it starting to make sense now?
Without these “ironclad, causational” studies out of NIH proving his theory on MMR, Kennedy cannot make changes to vaccines… period.
Cassidy made sure of it.
9/ Clearly, Cassidy isn’t just a problem.
He’s a massive threat MAHA didn’t see coming, and a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
With key nominations like RFK Jr.’s legal counsel and deputy now in Cassidy’s hands, the movement is walking on eggshells.
10/ This is how the system protects itself:
Pretend to support change
Infiltrate the movement (Cassidy)
Extract promises
Demand compliance with those promises.
Some of you call it blackmail. But this is just politics 101.
11/ Cassidy’s vote for Bobby wasn’t support.
It was sabotage disguised as bipartisanship.
And what’s scary? This is only the beginning.
Pharma is willing to die on the hill of vaccines👇
12/ They WANT us to turn against Bobby Kennedy.
Pharma’s billion-dollar PR playbook is working.
Many in MAHA aren’t happy…
But their guns are pointed in the WRONG direction.
13/ It’s time to stand together WITH Bobby Kennedy, wake up to the REAL enemy, and stop Pharma from getting away with this.
@SenBillCassidy, you’ve been EXPOSED.
@SenBillCassidy To help, SHARE this thread and tell Cassidy we know what he’s doing to MAHA! 👇👇
🚨 EXPOSED: Healthcare middlemen are stealing billions from everyday Americans.
Now they’re launching a massive PSYOP —hijacking MAHA talking points—to trick you into thinking HR 6283, which would END their kickbacks, is a “payday for Big Pharma.”
Here's the shocking truth 🧵
2/ Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) are middlemen who control which drugs you get and how much you pay.
The three largest PBMs - owned by UnitedHealth, CVS, and Cigna - collect billions in hidden fees and kickbacks.
Reuters:
3/ Donald Trump calls these guys the bloodsuckers of the system:
"We're gonna knock out the middleman. They're rich as hell. We are gonna get drug costs DOWN."
🚨 DEVELOPING: One 16-year-old boy is suing Kraft Heinz & other food giants for knowingly weaponizing addiction science to poison him—and the rest of America’s children—with processed food.
I read the entire 148-page complaint.
Here’s what you need to know 🧵
2/ Plaintiff Bryce Martinez developed Type 2 diabetes and fatty liver disease at just 16 due to heavy consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPFs). His lawsuit reveals the human cost of an industry that profits by preying on children.
3/ The lawsuit argues UPFs are "industrially produced edible substances that are imitations of food"—stripped of nutrition, pumped with additives, and designed for maximum addiction. These products dominate 2/3 of children's diets in the U.S.
