This morning, the deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Major General Yaroslav Moskalik, was passing by the Volkswagen Golf when the planted IED was triggered and explosion happened. Immediately after that, his body was thrown several meters away.
As Russian media now report: βPreliminary, the car filled with explosives could have been specially driven to the house where the soldier lived. The IED was filled with striking elements with a diameter of about 6 mm. The car did not belong to him.β
