This is the greatest social experiment ever conducted:

He created a fake restaurant on TripAdvisor.

No food. No staff. No venue.

Yet it became the #1 ranked restaurant in London...

Here's how he pulled it off: Image
Meet Oobah Butler, a Vice Magazine writer from South London.

His side hustle? Getting £10 for fake restaurant reviews.

But after watching restaurants gain traction from his fake reviews, he had a genius idea...

Butler hatched a plan to create a completely fake restaurant:
He wanted to test how easily the internet could be fooled.

His goal was to make London's #1 ranking restaurant out of nothing—except completely fabricated hype and exclusivity.

But first, he needed a convincing profile...
So he set up his restaurant on TripAdvisor:

• Bought a £10 burner phone as the "official line"
• Named it "The Shed at Dulwich" (literally his home)
• Listed it as "appointment only" with a vague address

Then came the most creative part of his deception...
Without actual food, Butler got creative:

• He added mood lighting
• Used his foot to mimic "meat"
• Added shaving foam as whipped topping to dishes

The results looked strangely convincing.

But the menu is where his real genius emerged:
Instead of actual dishes, everything was named after emotions.

"Comfort", "Lust", "Empathy".

This made it seem innovative and modern rather than fake— a great way to show some uniqueness while covering his tracks.

"The Shed" was coming to life, but there was one more job:
For months, he had friends write fake reviews.

Each review had to mention eating outside, reinforce the appointment-only policy, and emphasize how small and exclusive it felt.

And somehow, TripAdvisor never caught on.

But then something wild happened:
As reviews piled up, The Shed climbed the rankings.

After 6 months, it reached the top 1,500 of 18,000 restaurants.

But it quickly hit the top 300, and the phone wouldn't stop ringing with reservation requests...

And his attempt to handle the demand only made things worse:
Butler told everyone, "We're fully booked for six weeks."

But this created a frenzy. People loved the exclusivity.

Food suppliers sent him free samples, and the media begged for reviews.

He was London's hottest secret.

Within 6 months, something unbelievable happened:
The Shed reached #1 on TripAdvisor.

Butler's garden shed—with no staff, food, or customers—outranked 18,000 real restaurants.

The world had lost its mind.

But the prank was about to get even wilder:
Feeling the pressure, Butler hosted one dinner party.

He invited 10 persistent guests.

The menu? Supermarket microwave meals with garden garnishes.

The venue? His backyard shed, decorated with fairy lights.

As guests arrived expecting luxury, Butler's nerves built...
Surprisingly, they loved it.

Some claimed they tasted subtle flavors in the microwave meals.

No one suspected they were eating budget frozen food in a garden shed.

Perception became reality.

The aftermath? Equally fascinating:
In December 2017, Butler revealed the hoax in Vice.

TripAdvisor removed the listing and claimed their system "usually" works.

But he'd proven how easily digital trust can be manipulated when we crave exclusivity and validation.

This reveals something profound:
What makes Butler's experiment fascinating isn't just fooling TripAdvisor.

He understood the importance of perception and branding. And perception is the most powerful force for today's most successful entrepreneurs.

But only a few leverage it to its full potential:
Though Butler's restaurant was fiction, some results were real—media attention, demand, and recognition.

And when you make your brand as important as your product, this will happen for too...

Your thoughts become sought-after. Your companies gain trust.

Let me explain:
Today's most powerful brands are personal brands. They're what control perception above everything else.

Elon Musk, not Tesla. MrBeast Burger, not Burger King.

Logan Paul & Prime—not Coca Cola or Pepsi.

Why?
Because they could sell anything, and people will always buy from them because of their personal brand.

They built trust with millions at once. They're PERCEIVED as familiar.

Because when you showcase yourself & intentionally shape people's perception of you:
Every aspect of business becomes 10x easier.

You automatically attract talent and investors who align with what you stand for.

You build trust with an audience who will listen to your voice over others.

Zuckerberg just became the most powerful man in tech.

He hired a 28-year-old "AI prodigy" for $14B...

And together, they stole ONE thing OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft desperately need.

Here's why their next move has every CEO terrified: 🧵 Image
First, some context.

Scale AI was the "Switzerland" of data providers—every major AI company trusted them with their most sensitive training data.

OpenAI. Google. Microsoft. xAI.

They all depended on Scale's neutrality.
That neutrality was worth billions.

Why?

Training AI requires massive amounts of labeled data, and no company wants their competitor seeing their secret sauce.

Scale was the trusted middleman.

Until Zuckerberg made his move...

6 tech titans just formed a $30 BILLION alliance.

And they just declared WAR on the entire AI industry.

Not with new models. Not with data.

But something that could kill every AI overnight.

Here's what the "AI X-Men" just built: Image
AI models like ChatGPT need massive computing power to run.

Not just any computers—specialized data centers that cost billions to build.

Right now, there aren't enough of them.

That shortage is creating an unexpected opportunity:
The smartest money isn't chasing the next AI app.

They're buying the infrastructure itself.

6 of the most dangerous tech players just formed an elite partnership to build $30 billion worth of AI data centers across America.

Here's why this changes the entire game:

In 2015, banks told you a beautiful lie:

"Your money will save the planet."

But a lawsuit just uncovered where your $7.9T really went.

And if the public finds out, JPMorgan, Goldman, and Barclays are finished.

Here's how your savings funded banking's biggest cover-up: 🧵 Image
First, some context.

These aren't small players.

• JPMorgan manages $4 trillion.
• Citi serves 200 million customers.
• Barclays dominates European finance.

So their size made this betrayal even worse:
In 2021, all 3 banks made a promise.

They joined the Net-Zero Banking Alliance.

They pledged to stop funding fossil fuels and support clean energy by 2050 - investors believed them.

Bad idea:

Mars and Cadbury spent 90 years trying to destroy each other.

But while Cadbury were busy selling chocolate...

Mars quietly built an empire 10x bigger than Cadbury.

And it has NOTHING to do with candy.

Here's the $112B product Mars kept secret: Image
Everyone knows Mars for one thing.

Candy.

Think M&M's, Snickers, Twix, Milky Way.

An empire built over 113 years that conquered the world's sweet tooth.

But here's what nobody talks about...
Mars generates $50 BILLION in annual revenue.

That's $45B more than Cadbury.

The shocking part?

Candy sales only make up about 40% of the $50B figure.

And that's where the mystery begins...

Steven Bartlett just dropped the most shocking podcast to date.

The professor who created AI revealed how robots will DESTROY humanity.

Banks. Military. Government.

They'll all be wiped out.

Here are 10 moments that terrified the host: Image
Geoffrey Hinton pioneered the early days of AI.

He spent 50 years building the foundations for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini.

But after discovering the true power of AI...

He left Google at 75 to warn the world where we're heading:
1. Cybersecurity Apocalypse

AI-enabled cyber attacks increased 12,200% between 2023-2024.

By 2030, Hinton predicts AI will create entirely new attack methods.

We can't even fathom how they could manipulate us.

Elon Musk just nuked every AI company.

He spent $1 BILLION building a titan supercomputer...

And now he has the ONE thing OpenAI, Google, and Meta desperately need.

Here's how Musk just overpowered the entire AI industry: Image
Tesla isn't just building cars.

They're at the forefront of the AI race.

But they've been dependent on NVIDIA chips for AI training.

As the AI boom exploded, this dependency became a massive problem:
NVIDIA H100 chips now cost $25,000 each.

A modest AI training setup runs hundreds of thousands.

Cloud rental rates? Up to $10 per hour.

For Tesla, this creates a billion-dollar dependency.

But it gets worse:
