We've all seen how 60 Minutes interviews Trump. They go to war with him on every statement.
Scott Pelley has interviewed Biden numerous times. They are always softball interviews but his 2022 interview with Biden was particularly pathetic. Inflation was just off of a 40 year high. Pelley did ask him one question it about inflation in the beginning and then moved on to the fun stuff.
No questions about the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan the year before. No questions about the fact that the border was wide open and had been for two years.
Here's some clips from that pathetic interview.
1/7: Biden claims to have reduced the debt. No correction or follow-up from Pelley.
2/7: Biden declares that even though Covid is still a problem, the pandemic is over. No follow-up questions from Pelley about it. Think they would ask Trump for the science to back up his claim?
3/7: Listen to how Pelley words the question about the high price of gas.
The Minnesota child care fraud saga is so strange because years ago it was fully investigated, documented, and reported on by a team of state investigators set up to catch and stop child care fraud.
They spent years gathering evidence including many hours of surveillance footage. In 2018 they compiled a detailed report and delivered it to their boss, the DHS Inspector General.
Directly from the report: "Investigators, as well as the Supervisor and Manager of this unit believe that the overall fraud rate in this program is at least 50% of the $217M paid to child care centers in CY2017."
What did the Inspector General do with this information? She refused to meet with her own team, refused to discuss the findings of the report, and then spent $90,000 of taxpayer money to have an outside company write a report saying the fraud isn't quite as bad as her own team of investigators was claiming.
Here's an email summarizing the fraud that the lead investigator sent the IG in 2018. Those currently in the MSM claiming that child care fraud isn't a serious problem should read this.
The real question is how highly paid state investigators spent years investigating child care fraud in MN, reported on said fraud, and eight years later not only was the fraud not stopped, it was bigger than ever.
If you want to really understand Gavin Newsom, how he got his starts in business and politics, and his family's relationship with the Getty family, read this thread. It's just pages of an archived article but it's super interesting. It's based on an interview with his father from 2003.
Before Gavin became Mayor of SF his father did an interview with SF Weekly. The newspaper then published an article entitled "Bringing Up Baby Gavin." The article is no longer on the SF Weekly website but it wasn't difficult to find an archived version of it.
Most people know about Newsom's father and the Getty family but there's some great details in this article. Gavin Newsom's father was a judge who used his position to help Gordon Getty get access to the Getty family money. He even helped Gordon Getty sue his own father to get access to the family trust. In return for these favors and many others, Gordon Getty put him in charge of managing a massive amount of money. Guess how Gavin got the funds to start his fancy businesses at such a young age.
In 10 of Gavin's first 11 businesses, the primary money came from the Getty family.
Gavin Newsom currently claims that he got his start in politics after Willie Brown read an article about him, called him and offered him a position. That's not at all what Gavin's father said in 2003. Gavin's father said he was responsible for Willie Brown giving Newsom his start. That makes a little more sense.
As many politicians do, Gavin will be rewriting his history as he gets ready to announce his run for President. He will be telling all sorts of fictional stories about his past. Here's some truth.
"President Trump let the Bush wing of the GOP run all of his agencies.": Was Ben Carson part of the "Bush wing"?
"All of Trump's support for farmers went to Big Ag conglomerates.": This is not true. A large portion went to conglomerates but at a very minimum, by all accounts, at least 50% went to small farmers.
"We got a tax cut for Jeff Bezos.": This is a Democrat talking point. Even The NY Times looked at it and determined that Trump's tax cut reduced taxes for almost everyone.
"Rioting and Looting: Trump inflamed tensions.": How exactly did Trump do this? Because the media said it over and over? Biden ran on the Fine People Hoax, a lie meant to inflame racial tensions. He performed his dishonest routine almost every single day. RFK Jr. has no issue with Biden though. Outlets like CNN repeated the Fine People Hoax even though they knew it was a lie. Why? To inflame racial tensions. Democrats wanted the country to burn before the election so why is RFK Jr. pretending otherwise? Day after day Biden told Black Americans that they are not safe in the streets because of white supremacy. While Trump was calling for the end of the violence, Democrat politicians were cheering the riots on. It was Biden who claimed that Antifa was an "idea" as they tore the country to pieces. And under his presidency, HATE CRIMES HAVE SKYROCKETED UNDER BIDEN. They have reached an all-time high. In other words, there was much less racial tension under Trump than under the current President. Why doesn't RFK Jr. talk about that?
"Trump bragged about arming Ukraine more than Obama did.": He sure did, and you know who approved of his decision? Joe Biden. In 2018 Biden said that Trump's decision to arm Ukraine was the right decision and claimed that he was begging Obama to do it. RFK Jr. did you know that? But Trump giving Ukraine weapons wasn't a deterrent claims RFK Jr. and that it caused Russia to attack Ukraine? RFK leaves out everything that happened during the Obama administration including the coup America completed in 2013. Russia went into Ukraine during the Obama presidency and the Biden presidency, not the Trump presidency, but RFK Jr. blames Trump. Does that make sense to anyone?
Trump did appoint some neocons like John Bolton but he also fired them. It was John Bolton, the neocon, leading the charge to impeach Trump. Remember that?
"Trump killed an Iranian general.": Yes. So what? What did that cause? Biden gave them 6 BILLION dollars. Did RFK Jr. complain about that?
"Trump failed to fulfill his promise of ending the war in Afghanistan.": Didn't Biden blame every bad thing that happened during the Afghan withdrawal on the fact that Trump made a deal and had the withdrawal planned and scheduled for 2021? Biden gets to blame Trump but Trump gets no credit for scheduling the withdrawal?
"Trump invented lockdowns.": This is the craziest of them all. There is not one human being alive who said in 2020 that Trump was fighting to lockdown the country. Everybody, from Chris Cuomo to Fauci to RFK Jr. complained on TV in 2020 that Trump was trying to open the country too soon. During the Presidential debates Trump was asked repeatedly why he was fighting to open the country. Biden repeatedly accused Trump of not listening to Fauci's recommendations to keep the country closed. You will never find a clip of the media accusing Trump of wanting to keep the country locked down in 2020 but there are dozens if not hundreds of clips of Fauci going on TV and complaining that Trump was ignoring his orders. Regardless of the few times that Trump talked about lockdowns that folks like to point out, Trump explicitly stated that he was leaving it up the governors. I've posted dozens of clips of governors saying that Trump left the decision to them. Meanwhile Fauci now states that he never called for lockdowns, even though there are so many clips of him doing that exact thing. The fact of the matter is that every human alive knew in 2020 that Trump based his re-election chances on opening the economy. Everyone knew that he wanted to open the country. I have posted clips of DeSantis explicitly stating that Trump left the decision to him but it doesn't stop Trump haters from blaming Trump.
"Trump did nothing to stop the opioid crisis.": That's another lie. In 2019 he allocated 1.8 billion to combat the opioid crisis. If RFK Jr. is not a Democrat trying to help Biden, why has he not addressed this issue as it has continued to skyrocket under the current President?
"All of Trump's support for farmers went to Big Ag conglomerates.": Not true.
"We got a tax cut for Jeff Bezos.": The NY Times analyzed it and disagreed.
