The leaders of Britain, France, Germany and Poland, together with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, made a joint phone call to Donald Trump prior to making the announcement.

Zelenskyy told Trump that Ukraine is ready for direct negotiations with Russia.

Emmanuel Macron announced new meetings of the "Coalition of the Willing" in the coming weeks.

“In addition to the ceasefire, in order to prepare for a lasting peace, we are ready to think over the long term how to prepare financing for Ukraine. And to provide sustainable guarantees and a model of the Ukrainian army that could withstand a possible attack in the future. We will also consider deploying forces with insurance to provide guarantees," he stressed.

According to Macron, as of now, the partners do not have a specific form of operation of the military contingent in Ukraine, since their mandate "will depend on the progress of discussions" on the ceasefire.
