Damn it looks like Dems are moving the same as before, either unwilling or unable to accept that many voters are upset & disillusioned w/the party. This is esp. the case for Black voters whose views of the party were tempered by Harris but are in full retreat after the election.
Just as I said during the campaign, Democrats need to meet voters where they are. With many Black voters, this means first acknowledging people’s legitimate feelings of distrust & dismay w/party politics, and then make a convincing argument as to why their Dem support matters.
Just continuously talking about how great Democrats are & how hard they’re fighting falls flat on the apathetic voters Dems really need to win close elections. That’s why I get all the talk of a party “shakeup” but w/o the right strategy it’ll all be for not with Black voters…
