SitRep - 16/05/25 - Ukraine-Russia talks in Turkey

An overview of the daily events in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Talks between Russia and Ukraine started in Istanbul. Russia decided to come with even more ridiculous demands than previously stated.

We start with Russian losses over the past 24 hours.
Overnight, Ukraine struck Russian military targets.
Ukraine shot down many Shaheds overnight.
Later today, it was confirmed that an ammo depot in occupied Crimea was struck.
The 92nd repelled a large Russian attack.
Ukrainian Air Force turned a Russian FPV operator position into rubble.
Ammo kept detonating in Perevalne.
GBU62 dropped on Russian positions.
A Russian Ka-52 was allegedly downed by a Ukrainian FPV.
A BUK AD system destroyed.
Russian forces wiped out by an AASM HAMMER bomb strike.
Lets continue with the general events. Unfortunately, Ukraine lost another F-16.
While the Ukrainian delegation in Turkey was having talks with Russia, Zelensky himself flew to Albania.
New Mig-29 transfers from Poland are still on the table.
Poland is preparing a new military aid package.
Merz confirmed the latest EU sanction package against Russia.
Talks kicked off with a meeting between Ukraine, the US and Turkey.
But Russia insisted on the US and Turkey to leave the negotations up to Ukraine and Russia themself.
Russia was not on time, stalled, and eventually showed up.
Talks began.
909 Ukrainian defenders were returned.
The Pope said the Vatican also wants to act as a mediator between Ukraine and Russia.
Short after the meeting started, it became known what Russia came up with. Totally expected, nonsens claims and demands.
Russia even threatened Ukraine during talks. This is not looking for peace, this is blackmail.
Zelensky and top EU leaders followed the talks, and spoke to Trump.
Umerov said that a 1000 for 1000 exchange is prepared.
After the meeting ended, the Russian side decided to make statements, which are totally not in line with the info that came out.
Does Russia seek peace? No, not at all.

Russia wants Ukraine to officially recognize Crimea as Russian.
In Albania, Zelensky met with different EU leaders.
Meloni shows support for Zelensky.
Medinsky once again reiterated that Russia has no interest in a ceasefire
Zelensky met with Schoof, the Dutch PM.
A Russian MP confirmed Russia threatened Ukraine during talks
Zelensky also met with Danish PM Frederiksen.
