What’s kind of funny about Trump’s attacks on FedSoc and Leonard is that a lot of people are forgetting that Trump’s anger at them goes back to 2021. Trump DOJ lawyers and Trump stood up against the coup attempt and Trump has never forgiven that. The tariffs are secondary.
Another funny thing is that lots of hack right-wing lawyers have joined FedSoc thinking that that was still going to be the pipeline to judgeships and legal appointments. But oops—4he Leo-McGhan pipeline days are gone. It’s a negative in Trumpland to be associated with FedSoc.
Which is probably why judicial appointments have been so slow during Trump II. You mostly have to be a former coup plotter (oops they’ve been disbarred) or a nut job or a former personal lawyer to get the plum jobs. Or you can be Aileen Cannon!
