„It’s obviously important, but I do think it’s oversimplified. I find it much more interesting to unpick why people are susceptible to propaganda, and which bits they absorb. For example, what people think about the WWII and its relevance today.

One woman I interviewed was born in the 1930s and lived through the Nazi occupation of Pskov Region. The war and how it was viewed in the Soviet Union shaped her entire life, as well as that of her husband, who was just too young to fight.
